Oh yeah. The 1971 release of Master of Reality was instrumental in starting the Doom and Sludge metal genres. It began the characteristic downtuned, dirty, and sludgy sound that characterizes Doom and Sludge metal.

I'm listening to Sargent D and the S.O.D. by The Stormtroopers of Death. If you play doom you will notice that song from e3m8 the spider mastermind level.
