I got hauled to that opening weekend and loved it. The only awkward thing was the fact that the two little kids were voiced by Disney Channel younger sibling types. A Jonas brother little brother and a Hannah Montana little sister? Blegh. But Liam Neeson's character and his watering system was epic.

That reminded me of Super Mario Sunshine. XD

in class we had an arctic film festival to complement Call of the Wild (yes, i still have school :P) over the course of 4 days-actually ends tomorrow. we have to write reviews, because it's supposed to be academic work, otherwise the teacher would be in trouble (they're not supposed to play movies this week :P), and there will be awards. I'm on the award committee! since the teacher is awesome,we got popcorn, and we get to bring our own snacks into class and eat/share them. Anyway, the 3 movies are Balto, Happy Feet (not really arctic, but played due to popular demand), and White Fang.

Ah yes, Call of the Wild.  I remember that book fondly (one of the reasons we study it here is because our school mascot is the Timberwolf).  Balto, I only remember bits and pieces (I wonder if that sick girl could see Russia from her backyard *ponders*).  White Fang.....I've heard its name but I don't believe I've seen/read it (although the name is reminding me of a movie I watched today, The Clan of the Cave Bear).

White Fang is also written by Jack London.

I just watched Alice in Wonderland for the second time and I'm re-obsessed with Tim Burton's works (the way my obsessions work is they start, then eventually die out, but eventually something triggers them to start again) So I decided to watch some of his other shorters works. In doing so I stumbled upon one of his creepier than usually works.

Be warned, it's very creepy and ominous and there's a small blood scene at the end but it's not that bad
