this mod is designed for multiplayer, so it only works on Zandronum, you can get it here http://zandronum.com/

This mod will not work on zDoom or GZDoom.

If you are having trouble please check that you are using the latest version of Chex Quest 3 as your iwad,  http://www.ifocserv.net/ftp/wads/chex3.wad

If you are looking for some multiplayer action I always have servers running, Zorchmatch (Deathmatch), CTF, and Duel; unfortunately it's kind of slow but if you have a hard time getting players to join it might help if you post something on the events board to schedule something on the weekend.

Look for these in Doomseeker (included in the zandronum setup)

Commentary on this map:

Difficult, fast paced, and quite strange looking, though the strange appearance matches the sort of wild gameplay this map offers, with teleporters you can use to dodge in 3 dimensions because they do not slow you down.

DUEL10 : Sweltering Spiral by 75



Commentary on this map:

A moderate paced map, with locations designed for each weapon, there are some areas where a weapon is better than others. Several shortcuts can allow you to get an advantage over your opponent if you learn how to use them well.

DUEL11 : Consilium by 75



Commentary on this map:

Inspired by the old vanilla Doom DM/Duel map Uroborous, this map has the same sort of layout, and is possibly the laziest map I've made recently, it's simple layout is easy to navigate and it has a forgiving layout with a lot of cover, good for beginners.

DUEL12 : Mountain Bungalo by QuadrumpusGuy



Commentary on this map:

It's a lot smaller than it looks, this map forces you to move quickly to avoid your opponents' CL zorcher and zorch launcher attacks, though if you are clever you will find that safety is never really far away if you get in trouble, you will need to think quickly to realize where you can go though. After you avoid his or her attempts to zorch you, it's best to turn around for a counterattack, using an alternate path.


DUEL13: Mysterious Lab by 75



Commentary on this map:

Somewhat inspired by Doom E1M2 and Doom E1M4, this map is slow paced and complicated, talking place in a abandoned, damaged lab. There are many ways to play this map, and a lot of room for creativity, listen carefully to the sounds your opponent makes in the map (from opening doors, using lifts, etc.) to find where he or she is, and act accordingly to succeed.

Commentary on this map:

It is rather hard to navigate, but I enjoyed it too much to not have it be in the pack.

Commentary:

Quick maneuvering around the 3d floors through the hole in the middle is essential to your success in this map.

A recreation of Shoot! Not recommended.

New version - Chex Pack P16-3.2

This version has some gameplay tweaks for pvp, and some new maps.

The gameplay changes make it so that the spoon, rapid zorcher, and bootspork(s) are much, much, more powerful only when used against other players, which means that these changes will not effect co-op/single player at all.

3 new duel maps:

The servers are updated, there is one new ZM map converted and modified from FastDM, and two ZM maps and one duel map brought back from P14, let me know what you think of the old maps being brought back.

Chex Pack P16-5 released, with some somewhat minor changes.

Chex Pack P16-5.1 was released soon after because the bug in the museum Zorchmatch map finally got fixed. Thanks for Quadrumpusguy and Marcaek for finding that misbehaving invasion spawner!

- On all duel and ZM maps, you should start with better weapons. Tinyzorcher spawns have been replaced with a script that gives you a weapon on spawn.

Note: There shouldn't be any spawns in the maps where you start with a melee weapon selected (i.e., the bootspork or bootspoon), if that happens please let me know.

- Changed the detailing for DUEL15 (it struck me as a little ugly as it was before) -- let me know what you guys think:
