Well Hello everyone. This is... new.

A handful of you veterans should be fairly acquainted with myself. I am former member, as well as former administrator to the now ended Chex Quest Fan Forums hosted by Invision.

Basically, I'm a male, about 55 days shy of turning 18. My activities are mostly computer or music related. For you 'band geeks,' I'm the Head Field Commander of my Class AAA high school band, where I also play Trumpet for the Wind Ensemble of our High School. In addition, I'm a first year Soprano player for the Music City Legend DCA Drum and Bugle Corp, and plan to be a member of the Middle Tennessee State University band.

I like to challenge myself with technological puzzles (i.e., tethering Verizon's EV-DO broadband coverage and transfering it to my MacBook Pro over BlueTooth. [PM for instructions.])

I won't spend much time rambling about myself. Instead, simply ask. I'm not shy.

May someone update me on current Chex Quest projects that are actually still active? Danke.
Lt. Col. Tim Williams of the Chex Squadron.

Welcome back to the forums!  Many Chex Quest projects are alive and well.  You can find details about each one in the Fan Projects section.  http://chexquest.org/index.php?board=8.0

You might also want to brush up on what's happened in the time you were gone.  http://chexquest.org/index.php?topic=40.0

You're only 55 days short of turning 18?  Wow.  Time sure flies, doesn't it?  I remember speaking to you when you were 14 (correct?).  Remember how secretive you were about your parents finding out you frequented a message board?  I don't think anybody here is old enough to remember this, but iTim and I were two of the first members of the original Chex Quest board.  It was a fan board just like this one.  The guy in charge of it was known as "Chex Warrior."  It was the same guy in charge of the Chex Quest Mania website.  http://chexmania.tripod.com/  When he closed down the board, I decided to start this one to take it's place.

What are you driving these days?  I've got a lot on my mind right now, which is why I've slacked on getting my Learner's Permit.  I plan to try for the test after the Maryland primary election is over, because that's what's eating up all of my time.

When was the last time you visited or posted at the now-trashed board? I've lurked for a couple of years, but I didn't register until May of 2007, so I probably wouldn't remember you. Anyway, welcome back!

EDIT: OOOH! Just noticed the ChexBoss32890 part in your username. I remember now. You was the webmaster at Chex Quest Central. I still miss that site to this day....

Agree'd. That was the best fansite for the game I've ever seen.
Did we really just spend the last decade talking about Chex Quest? Yes. Yes we did.

I regret nothing!

Thanks everyone!
To Richie: I believe I was 13 when I first got into the Chex (Mania?) website. I feel bad now for going behind their back, but they know I'm responsible enough to not be an idiot on the internet.

I'm driving a 1996 Ford Explorer XLT.

To Manny Cav: Thanks for the compliments concerning Chex Central. I had a lot of fun making and maintain that site, and I receive a lot of good feedback. Unfortunately, as I grew up I simply lost interest.

To Loremaster: Again, thanks. And how's it going? Long time no see, eh?

To atariangamer: Thanks! I actually hope to stick around this time.

I mainly came back this time because of old friendships I've built up on this forum, along with fond memories of growing up with this game.

Check out the projects section if you haven't already, we've got a REALLY talented bunch nowadays.

Yeah, but most of the already established mods are losing steam in my opinion...mostly the lost quest and Slimenator's projects are the ones to watch...

Yeah, well my project had its head bumped and subsequently fell into a pit of spikes which then filled with lava and Grues. :P I'm gonna switch development back to Doom Legacy if I can't fix the slime projectiles problem or Boingo gets it before I do and releases a conversion of TUCQ.

Hey there, CB! (You'll always be CB in my head) It's been forever and ever, hasn't it? I can't believe you're almost 18 now... time does fly. I'm glad to see you've stayed well all these years.

Are you planning on going to Middle Tennessee State University then? What will you major in?

Ha ha, I drive a Ford Explorer too (99 XLT)... does yours get recalled every other month like mine?

Well hey, it's good to have you back! I'm looking forward to seeing you around again.  :)

I'm hoping to either major in Architectural Engineering or Computer Science. I want to do both of them, but I don't think a double major is feasible.

My explorer... the only recall that has concerned my model is the lowering of the standard tire air pressure. They found that lowering your tire pressure to 26 psi reduced your risk of roll-over by 45%, which is significant if you ask me. (BTW, check your tire pressure.)
