Shenmue 3 trailer:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEZ3Ksk2428" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEZ3Ksk2428</a>

Darn, thats just a edited version of the trailer of a failed project called Shenmue Online.  Here I was hoping a true Shenmue 3 was coming.

@brain candy:  I have played CoD, but the only experience I've had of it was Big Red One....which is apparently the black sheep of the CoD series.  It was fun though, but too darn short.

Random question, but are there any Call of Duty fans here? I know... it's practically sacrilegious to bring up mid-conversation about the classics, but I ordered myself a new video card for my rig last night (Geforce 9800 GTX+ Superclocked, woot!) and it came with a free "gift" from Nvidia, Call of Duty World at War, which looks insanely neat because it is set during the end of WWII. I was a big fan of the Medal of Honor series when I was little, although I recently read that it was not a highly regarded series. Nonetheless, I had tons of fun with MOH and am hoping to get the same level of satisfaction from this chapter in the COD series. At the very least, it does look like lovely eye candy.

bleh... call of duty

I'm really glad the couldn't find a better use for 32 bit graphics then 700 shades of grey  :P

I'd take wolfenstein 3d anyday over those things. They're just not fun to me. Maybe it's TOO realistic (war isn't fun in real life).
I do enjoy how realistism always equates to shades of gray and brown in the gaming world... but that actually does make some sense considering the type of territory they're trying to render, but yeah, it gets old. At this point I'm just super excited to be able to run such a new game on max settings.  :D

COD 4 was a biiiiit to real for my tastes during the single player game [though that was only when moving. When you stood still, it stopped seeming real], though multi player split screen was awesome.

Medal of Honor isn't so good anymore. Medal of Honor Allied Assault was great, and I played that online tons when it came out.
Did we really just spend the last decade talking about Chex Quest? Yes. Yes we did.

I regret nothing!

I've played Frontline, it was pretty good; I like the realism in the weapons; but again... it gets old real fast

Anyone ever played return to castle wolfenstein?

that game wasn't a hundredth of Spear of Destiny. You had to have a brain to beat Spear, but the new ones don't seem to use the same amount of thinking.

Maybe that's what's missing from COD & MOH - in real war, there's no puzzles for you to figure out. They mask this by making better moves/weapons/enemies, but I don't really think that's enough.

Kind of like what's going on in the movies these days!!! :o oh man I think I figured it out! Let's replace the story and creativity with flashy explosions!

TRU.

I swear...I think thats what happened to the prequel trilogy of starwars...

Tons of movies are doing that tho...I hate it...i'd rather have a nice story and classic editing and effects than all flash and no light...
Don't remember me as I was...I was an idiot.

Virtual boy wasn't vector...it was a stereoscopic red 32bit 'portable' gaming system...but it was epic fail...
I SWEAR that had potential...><

However...Vectrex was a good vector system, but due to lack of sheilding, the speaker has a buzz...

I've read that COD: World at War is even more real than COD4 (same engine though). All of the videos I saw of the gameplay looked pretty spiffy, although I'm afraid I'll be wowed by anything at this point-- it's been a while since I've had a modern PC game.

Two words for why I want to play:

Zombie Nazis.

Yes. You heard me. You complete the main campaign and you open up a separate co-op mode where you and your friends must survive against waves of Zombie Nazis. How awesome is that?
Did we really just spend the last decade talking about Chex Quest? Yes. Yes we did.

I enjoyed MOH: Heroes 2 on the Wii. The controls were great, and the online got past the friend codes.
