OK, I have the latest version if CQ3, and Skulltag. Now what.

um no. first of all you dont use legacy. alright here is all what you need. you have skulltag right? also you need the newest wad of sliminators THNCQ G2 which is found here http://www.mediafire.com/?9yzmxjixxjy

and CQ arena beta 3 http://chexquestgallery.nxserve.net/downloads/Chex%20Quest%20Arena%20Beta%203.zip
um i think that is it for now. and to use it you need to open IDEse in skultag foder. once its opened you will need to find Chex Quest United (when its online) and enter the password zorcher

The TNCQ IWAD link you provided is outdated. :P The updated link is here. However, since TNCQ2IWAD.wad needs to be doom2.wad, anyway, why don't you just download doom2.wad right off of my GetWAD section?

This is getting all slightly confusing, :o but at leas I can see how this might work. Thanks for everything! ;)\


Ok, so lets double check.

1) I put the Doom2.wad into the same folder as Skulltage.

2) I start Skulltag.

3) Edit my profile.

4) Click multiplayer.

5) Click Brows Servers, click on the CQ server when it's up.

6) Enter password "zorcher"

7) Play

uh, i guess that sounds right.

btw, i tend to agree, all these pwads and everything needed to play st is getting confusing keeping up with it.

cq arena, tncqg2 and the lounge should be combined into 1 wad(or pk3)

Chex Quest Arena is not going to be combined with anything. The New Chex Quest: Generation 2 is a separate mod and IWAD in itself. Loading tons of PWADs is not uncommon in Skulltag servers.

That's basically correct, IronJaw. Put the the lounge, doom2.wad (the one I provided you), and cqarena.wad in the Skulltag directory (I just tell it to go to a specific directory. It's a bit more complicated, but it also prevents me from having multiple copies of the same thing scattered on my computer). Those are the WADs you're bound to need. Once you've done that, start IDEse, and refresh the server list until you see Chex Quest United (you'll see a notice in this forum when its put up). Put in the password, and you should be set to go.

lemme rephrase myself:
i didnt mean literally "combine", put putting the seperate i/pwads into a single pk3, which is zip but for wads.

Well, that would still be unhandy. Every member would have to download those WADs, then zip them up, then use it. It's simple without doing that.
