I don't think you would really need that unless you wanted to add patches without them becoming textures.

That's great! my sprites were getting butchered as bmps!

EDIT - nvm... bmp is the only way to go, you can't have PNG weapon sprites

You can have them floating in front of you but it won't mount them on the HUD

No, you can have PNG weapons I've done it before.

And how dare you call BMP better the PNG? >__<

It didn't work for me, really

I put the sprite into XWE, you know how you drag the weapon sprite into the lower right corner of the crosshair and it usually gives you a hud image to place your sprite? The hud image never came.

Is there some special thing you have to do for png weapon sprites?

and btw... Chukker's sprites are all .bmp s.
