So, I just realized my ranty little welcome back message got buried somewhere on page two. To avoid looking like I'm ignoring you, I'm reposting. Again, it's awesome to have you back.  ;D

Dude, koolgool! I'm not sure how I managed to miss this intro thread, but I was tooling around in General Discussions and saw your name (I totally had a "whaaaa?" moment)! It's so awesome to see you again. I'm glad you found your way back to the CQ community... it's been bumping the last few years with all the nifty projects and the release of CQ3. Enjoy and welcome back.  :)

Sweet! What state? I'm in Maine right now, though only for the summer unfortunately. I might move here someday once I'm officially out and on my own.

Maine? AWESOME, that's where I want to live too

It gets way to hot here for my liking

How hot does it usually get there kool? The winters sound awesome, but if it goes up to 80-90 degrees in the summer forget it

Well so far this summer I've only experienced one really hot day which was in the 80's, but most days (like today for instance) it's been in the 50's and 60's. The temperature depends on where you live in Maine. Near the ocean it's cooler, but in the center of the state it can get warm. I think the temperature is well balanced. There are hot days, but it's nothing like the southern states.

'80's' and 'hot' do not belong together in the same sentence.

My family hails from Ukraine. Don't you know Eastern Europeans start to melt above 60 degrees?

JK, my mom is actually going to move to arizona after I graduate

Near the ocean is probably my best bet then

I know exactly what you mean (lived in Florida for a small portion of my life and visited Mexico once), but for Maine mid-80's is a hot day. :B As a kid I remember it getting in the nineties during the summer, but only once or twice on rare occasion.

Ah, Maine? How far up? Because the time to get to places in Maine can take from 1 hour to 12. My friend actually has relatives who live as far north as it gets without hitting Canada.

@75: It can get up in the 80s and occasionally the 90s, but definitely not every day, if I remember my road trips correctly. But for blueberries and lobster, there's no place better.

I'm farther down, koolgool. But not in Massachusetts. Thank goodness.

Sweet! I'm roughly in the middle of the State, about an hour from Bangor.

Or Maple Syrup... mmm. And, if you're coming from the south, the tap water is far superior. Maine's tap water is like Tennessee's bottled water. I can drink it without getting pieces of sand stuck between my teeth.

I'm farther down, koolgool. But not in Massachusetts. Thank goodness.
lol, thank the heavens.

If you want the best tap water, then move to the country, where the water comes from a real Aquifer, and not reprocessed sewage.

However, if you want disgusting water, then move next to the ocean, where all the tap water tastes like rust.

I'm gonna try and not sound indignant here, but who made you the authority on water purity.  Here in Rochester, we have excellent water.  In fact, I've heard from many sources that we have very "soft" water.  Please look into your topic a little bit closer before making hasty judgments.  *steps off soapbox*
