I'd noticed that people were chatting about Chex Trek during conversations about Chex Quest: World Trek.

I found some old files concerning Chex Trek on FileFront.com, the place I was looking to download The Green Avenger's "Chaos on Flemoid Prime". Failing that, I decided to let you know the Chex Trek files still existed, and I wanted to know also where I could get "Chaos on Flemoid Prime".

Here's the page to find Chex Trek: http://search.filefront.com/chex quest

Oh, and by the way, my salutations of "Sincerely, Chexy" in every post will now be in my signature! OMG!

Sincerely,

Chexy (for the last time!) :D

This is old news, actually. You can download Chex Trek at a Mod DB entry that wiweeyum, the Chex Trek creator, made.

Ok, so that answers that. But what about "Chaos on Flemoid Prime"?

Chaos on Flemoid Prime is The Green Avenger's project, and has a subforum here.

I can't seem to find the place to download the requisite files. I click on the link to a filefactory download, but I keep getting redirected to the main page. :(

Atariangamer

you mean filefront ;)

And IDK, try asking The Green Avenger if he'll reupload it.
Don't remember me as I was...I was an idiot.

Downloaded it. :)

Now to figure out how to load it and play! :P

Ah, you've just run across the engine-switch anomaly.

While many mods today run on GZDoom, The Green Avenger, being Fragglescript-fluent (a specific programming language for DooM Legacy) and self-stated Legacy Loyalist, has used DooM Legacy to create his mod.  Therefore, you must download DooM Legacy to play.

http://legacy.newdoom.com/

You have to open launcher.exe, specify the IWAD (doomu.wad, which is chex.wad renamed), then click Single Map and include CoFP.wad (or whatever the file name is) in the additional wads section.

Running instructions can be found in the Fan Projects directory. And ChexCommander, you forgot to tell him that TUCQ Phase II Beta 3 was necessary. :P

I'm sorry. I didn't realize it was necessary.

Legacy will always hold a place in my heart, especially since I'm pretty sure that it's still the only engine to do 3D flooring! ;D
