what kind of crash? most startup crashes hafta do with video settings...I think TGA might remember how to fix this.
or, on my laptop, I'd start it and it would begin loading the commands in the console, I had to end the process (Task Manager, Processes tab, legacy.exe. delete it. Ending the task doesn't fix it) then restart it. worked every time.

Yeah, it used to do that to me....it would load, go to fullscreen, stop, I killed the process, then it worked the second time. These days, it doesn't happen, since my PC's better, and also can run OpenGL.
