Isn't "desu" a Japanese word meaning something along the lines of "to be" ? As in "Hajimemashite. Syaoran desu. Dozo yoroshiku." (How do you do. I am Syaoran. Pleased to meet you.)
I saw Syaoran, and my mind instantly leapt to Tsubasa Chronicles. >.> P.S:Another survival rule is not to offend Thirston [sic] the Whale, or he will send you a thong with his face on it.  You just offended him by spelling his name wrong. Well, I believe his name is more like Xiaoxian, but the Japanese katakana-ized it as "Syaoran". WAT Ahem. The Japanese have a system for writing designed as essentially a pronunciation guide for foreign names called Katakana. Katakana however, is still limited by the sounds in the Japanese language. Thus, not being able to say "Xiaoxian", they wrote it as something that sounds very similar, "Syaoran". What he said I had offended him abot with misspelling his name was when I misspelled "Thurston" as "Thirston" - referring to the whaleware superattractive mascot. |

Additional rule: do not forget to observe the nerd whale as it is endangered due to overhunting for it's lack of meat and lack of fat.
