The girl topic
Batmanifestdestiny:
Not much from my side of the world going on right now. I was hanging with this girl recently, though, and this is a girl that I sort of like (as I explained elsewhere, I'm asexual, but that doesn't mean I'm not romantically inclined toward anyone) and she asked if I liked anyone out of our group of friends, so I just made sure I looked pensive for a bit and I was like "not really. There was this one girl, but now she's out of state, and I wasn't sure if I really liked her, anyway." She then went on about this dude she liked, and I felt like I had dodged a bullet by not acting all weird when she asked that. XD
To be honest, I feel really great lately, since I haven't been in any relationships for the past couple months. It's like a huge weight has been taken off my shoulders.

There is a weight that isn't there, when out of a relationship, but there is also an overwhelming sense of positive emotions when in one... The girl I mentioned in the previous post came over for a bonfire last night. We talked and walked, and laughed, shared stories, etc. Then... I made the move, I put my arm around her, after commenting that it was a cold night out for about the 40th time and her agreeing with me. So things are getting better. We both agreed to take things slow for now.

This didn't personally involve me, but it was impossible to avoid being involved in some small way...
This last week at camp I have dubbed "Crush Week". For starters, the way this camp is run there are 3.5 weeks of guys-only camp, then 2 weeks of girls-only camp. There are always a few of the opposite gender working there each week, which can cause a few problems, like it did this week.
Working in the kitchen there was a girl, named Taylor, who most people would say looks pretty good. Unfortunately, that led to multiple guys developing crushes on her. She's 17, which made it worse, as the two I knew about were much younger.
One was a camper who was only 12 years old, and the situation with him was even brought up at the staff meeting because some staff had been joking with him that he totally had a chance with her, although he totally didn't.
And then the other was unfortunately someone working on service crew with me, and also the one who would never shut up, which meant half the week was spent talking about her. I'm glad I wasn't his leader/counselor, because I would not want to deal with him, and wouldn't have done as good a job as our leader did (plus I have absolutely no experience with girls). By the end of the week he was actually talking to her and having some conversations with her, but he was hanging around her a bit too much, and when she left her iPod with him locked for 6 minutes while she ran back to where she was staying, she took just a little too long, and he ran into the bathroom to hide while he locked her iPod for.... 1 hour. And then he said that she then had to be nice to him? :facepalm
I am extremely glad that I was not directly involved in any way, and that despite being her age, or a little older, I have no desire for her at all.
TL;DR: guy-girl drama happening at an all-guys camp. Not supposed to happen.

That's not drama. That's just life.

That is just awful. I certainly don't miss being that young and horny.
