If I could find out how to host, i'd love to play a game or two of it.
UPDATE: I found out how to host...the original QuakeWorld still works rather well. Finally got the configs worked out, and if anyone has a copy of quake, PM me. I'm dying to try this, and if it doesn't take too much bandwidth, I might could even get a Mumble/Murmur server up. This is all, of course, temporary, but just as an option in the future, or even for just fun dueling right now. QuakeWorld client runs fine in windowed mode, and probably better in fullscreen (But with my widescreen monitor, it kills ><), not much lag, and customizable skins!
Yeah, if we can get through with this, you can find a copy of the base PCX and edit up your own skins to play with. I need to get them before you connect (else you get 2 different doom guys and the base), but otherwise, it works fine. Pings shouldn't really be a problem, but hey...
So yeah, if you have a full copy of Quake 1, and are willing to try this out, PM me or reply here, and I'll get you downloads, configs, and everything else you need to get connected.
