What You'll need:
Timidity++ for ZDoomA decent Soundfont in SF2 format, and at least 250 MB of hard drive space
A text editor (Notepad works fine for this)
(Recommended) 1 GB or more of RAM
Whaleware 13.37Download
Timidity++ for ZDoom, and extract it to your Skulltag directory. A "timidity.cfg" is in the zip as well. Make sure to place it in the same directory as Timidity++.
Now, I know you want to get done with this fast, but if you don't have a soundfont, Timidity++ is somewhat useless in Skulltag. So why don't we solve that problem?
SGM 2.01 (235 MB When Extracted)
SFArk is safe to use for extracting soundfonts.Download a Soundfont if you haven't already, and extract it to somewhere on Your computer (Like a "Soundfont" Folder in Your Documents folder), then go to Your Skulltag folder and open up Timidity.cfg.

# These are the standard patches that come with the GUS, mapped into GM
# programs.
#
soundfont "C:/users/zeldagamer00/documents/midi-stuff/SGM-V2.01.sf2"
See that line that says "soundfont"? Replace the listed directory/path in the Timidity.cfg with the location and name of the
Soundfont you want to use. As for the rest of the CFG, just leave it alone unless you want to do some major tweaking.
Now, if you open <username>-skulltag.ini and look for these...
timidity_stereo=true
timidity_reverb=0
timidity_chorus=0
timidity_exe=timidity.exe
Reverb Is sort of a very short echo effect. It makes a lot of stuff sound better, so I suggest You turn it on. (timidity_reverb=1)
Chorus Adds a repeat of the same note with a slightly different pitch in the background. Once again, it makes a lot of stuff sound better, so I suggest You turn it on. (Change 0 to 1)
timidity_exe when left alone, looks for timidity.exe in Skulltag's directory.
Now that you know how to set up Timidity++, go in-game and change the MIDI device to "Timidity++", and You're all set for better music!
