I found a skeleton spawner in the side of a cliff on my bros server.
So I built an outer shelter for it and added a door. Then I added an iron golem in there. So all I have to do is stand in that proximinity, and I have free bones and arrows.

hmm... not the best way to do it; the golem will die eventually.

I'd set up a system where water drags the skeletons into a lava trap (hold some lava in the air at the skeleton's head level with signs) and have the drops flow down into a collection bin.

Or just drown them. It's a bit slower, but still way cheaper than using an iron golem.

Doesn't the light from the Lava Stop the spawns? I've tried doing the water trap too.

I tried the iron golem for a little bit, before that I was just running in with full iron and swinging wildly. With that method, I get Experience and items! From that method during the day, and creeper hunting at night, I was able to hit level 35 in just a couple of hours.

Not that high level enchants are easy to get anyway.

Its in the one I play on. In fact, I've just recently been made an Admin on it (yes, that's me in the far right of that picture). It really is a fun server, except for the occasional server drama, but hey, don't all have it?

If you do get, let me know and I can add you to my town and nation, Haven and Fame respectively. (As a side note, I find it kinda funny that our nation is the largest and our town is second only to this guy who does periodic live-streams on the server; his fans fill up  his town)
