All in all, I think you have an embryo of something really interesting here.  Maybe a score system could be incorporated?  I'm not too sure how it would work but I was thinking something along the lines of Action Doom.  It would make it feel a little more 'old school arcadey'. :)

Yeah, I've seen that before but, you're right - it's crap.  The baddies are virtually indestructable sometimes!  It's a shame really as it's got the kernal of something good... :)

Started work on E1M2 today. With the light turned low like in E1M1, it really makes the place kind of creepy, since it's so big and more open than E1M1. :D  Especially with the flashlight, too.
And, surprisingly to me, I already have my teleporter powering up script all done. There's a metal panel with a "Backup Power" switch you flip, then the teleporter textures change and the lights turn on and you can then teleport. It's a pretty cool effect too.
I've also made a whole bunch of slimed textures to start spicing up the level with. You wouldn't believe how many textures it takes to add a good variety of slime to a level. With just these 2 levels I've already made 91 slimed patches to use. :o

at the end of levels, there are, yes, but i meant that he added red keypads to doors that didn't originally have them, that could be opened anyway. I meant it's pointless to have that if you can just press spacebar or whatever your use/open control is and it opens the door.
