How Do I Use Sounds in Decorate?

I need help.

HOW DO YOU USE SOUNDS IN DECORATE (i.e.: seesound, or A_PlaySound, etc.)?!?!

I loaded a sound into the wad and called it EVILLAFF, now how do I make it play?!

Then add the flag AttackSound "Whatever your sound's name is. IE Evil/Laugh" with the "s.

not quite...

add an entry for the sound in SNDINFO, in the format

<category>/<sound> <Sound lump name>

you can make <category> and <sound> anything you want, although you should probably pick something that makes sense so you can remember it.

A good choice would be to do

In your SNDINFO lump...
Code: [Select]
funnyimp/laughsound EVILLAFF

then, in decorate, just use

Code: [Select]
A_Playsound(funnyimp/laughsound, ... ... ...)

set it to the attacksound to have the sound play when the monster attacks, to the see sound plays when the monster enters the see state, etc....

Your way would have worked, I just wanted to go into more detail on what you can and cannot do in the SNDINFO lump  ;)
