After discussing the subject at hand with 75, we've got some pretty good ideas for wads to host in different combinations (I'll get to that list later).

The only thing I'm not sure of on this point is of whether to use Doom2.wad or the TNCQ equivalent as the IWAD. I'd personally go with the former, but I'm not sure who doesn't have it.

On the other hand, I'm getting back into a server hosting mode and may be able to host a few (3-7 perhaps) servers at a time.

I'd like to expand on this; I was thinking of featuring one wad every week or every two weeks that I wouldn't be comfortable hosting 24/7. This is a good opportunity for strange wads to get hosted that are either too short or too unstable to be left alone for hours on end.

The existing servers aren't changing, my Chex Pack servers and CQ: TLQ servers, as well as my Doom servers will be up 24/7 as long as I am able to host.

There are not many chex wads that work well online in Zandronum, unfortunately, so there will be quite a few servers featuring Doom-based wads. I can't speak for Quadrumpusguy and what he likes to do with his servers, but I will generally be hosting Doom wads with the real Doom2.wad.

So... this would be a good time to have people test my Extreme Survival map? (not that its anywhere NEAR testing, I have listened to some of your advice 75, and its got a lot of work)

I remember on Skulltag there were times when I could hop onto DooM2-based servers with TNCQ normally and there were times I couldn't. Definitely test it.

It seems that sometime around (Skulltag) 98D TNCQ stopped working as a Doom2.wad substitute, unfortunately. I'm almost certain that that behavior has carried over to Zandronum, though I haven't tested it lately.

However, I did make a skins wad that effectively turns any Doom 2 server into chex; you see and hear chex (including the music) but everybody else sees doom. You can use it on any server.

I seem to have lost it. It was rather easy to make, though, I basically just took TNCQ G2 and removed the maps
