I just uploaded a crude texture pack that should help a little bit with making levels for Much Obliged. You can download it at ...

http://www.doomlegends.com/deimwolf/misc/matex.wad

The pack only changes a small number of textures at the moment.  You will still see a lot of blue checkerboards and ! symbols in your levels unless you use doom.wad or doom2.wad.

So far I  just replaced the DooM II Wolfenstein textures with versions of the existing DeiMWolf textures, plus one or two others.

I will upload newer versions from time to time as I replace more textures and sprites.

I have an idea when you finish DeiM wolf you can put the contributors names on the credits or make easter eggs for them.

Good idea, walrus.

Yeah, I'm just talking about Shovel Knight because it had the "Butt code" where it replaced random words and names with "Butt".

There is a kickstarter?

Anyway, I don't know why I never thought of it before, but there is a substitute for using DooM or DooM II as the IWAD to see the DooM textures and items.

Freedoom is a free IWAD that replaces all of the resources for DooM II.  That means you can use it to test your Oblige generated levels without seeing all those blue checkerboard textures and ! symbols.

You can get Freedoom at https://freedoom.github.io/

Eventually matex.wad, the texture replacement wad I am (very)slowly working on, will cover all of the DooM and DooM II textures used by Oblige.  Until then, use Freedoom as the IWAD, plus DeiMWolf and matex.wad as pwads.
