Heh, I saw that a while ago. I want to make a satire game that has crappy gameplay and graphics and says "Maed by mee" at the end. ;D

Although this is CQ I managed to make a doom arm but it is missing the fingers, I have also applied a bit of shading and it seems I am improving.

Edit: I completed the whole hand, it looks like he broke it.

You also need to learn anti-aliasing.

Basically it's that technique used to blur things so there isn't an ugly edge.

I agree. Chex Quest monsters (flemoid or non flemoid) should stay cartoonish in keeping with CQ's kid friendly tone.

The only time a flemoid should look scary might be if it is a boss, and restricted only to a single level boss battle.

This tutorial might help you out a bit:

It's for Doom, but the concepts and techniques still apply to Chex Quest somewhat. If's pretty simple and easy to follow.
