This 3D program allows you to load, pose, and render human figures, along with props and environments. Being Poser compatible, D|S is able to take advantage of the the massive amount of free and paid Poser content available on the internet. Not very well suited to the cartoonish style of Chex Quest, but very well suited to realistic higher resolution characters for the newer DooM source ports.
