Interesting Coincidence

Earlier today, my youngest brother wanted to play Newmaps. And so, I started it up for him. However, I had forgotten to take out my Myst soundtrack CD out of the drive after I was listening to it earlier, and so it started playing.

And to everyone's surprise, the music from the introduction of Myst fit PERFECTLY with the intro of Newmaps.

And so, if you own the Myst soundtrack, you should try that.

Nope, no way to do that. I don't have any MIDIs of it, and it might not be the most legal thing anyway...

No...its kinda like the store thing here. Some one didn't just go and record the soundtrack and turn it into midi note for note...It just sounds the same, and is free because it isnt the real thing, it has imperfections...what is the title of the track? I think my friend has it.

Uh, how do you get cd's to work? :-[ It talks about mscdx or something. How do u fix?

Hmm... I can't give much information there, I just pop the CD in and it starts playing. Why don't you try over at the Legacy forums? They might be able to shed some light on the situation.

is your comp an older one? there is the reason if so. I heard the music, and then I watched the intro...How perfectly does it sync up? even better...a video? that would be a good one for youtube...

It's from 2001, so I guess it's pretty old.

I thought about posting some videos to YouTube previously, but I can't find any good, free, screen capture software. I do have one, but it's kinda lousy, so I never did anything with it. I'll try and see if I can get it working...
