Are you sure you have the latest version of GZDooM you might wanna check.
And also make sure you are useing the DooM.wad as the IWad and it should work.

Oh no, you must be useing a chex.wad as the Iwad, theres something wrong with the keys and for some reason shooting at the shooting triger switch is harder.
In Beta 1.6 my goal is to make the CQTLQ and IWAD useing the Chex Quest 3 wad.
If you can use the orignal Doom, if you can't just use cheats to get past the locked doors for now.
So I'm working on it, if you can use Doom.wad if not cheat for now.
so if i use DOOM.wad (iD's Ultimate Doom), it will work?

Some people don't quite get that Doom is a completely different game than Chex, but there's a big difference, good to see a mod that plays like a chex mod rather than a doom mod

I noticed on e1m4 that the green force field doesn't lower, and in e1m2 the door after the s.cycloptis behind the blue door doesnt open...also, there is also an e1m5+?

I thin your missing the green switch, it's hidden well. It should open if you find the switch that opens it, and thats a sneak peak at E1M5.

Well it used to work with the chex.wad, but that was before the Chex Quest support in GZdoom. :P
I olny discovered very late in the new beta that the chex.wad woudn't work, but I didn't want to go though any more editing and I released it as is.
I'm working to make CQTLQ an IWAD so It can run for everyone useing the chex3.wad.
