Title: Chex Squadron, the Role Play
Post by: The Green Avenger on April 14, 2009, 01:17:17 AM
I edited the basic rules into the first post, and this should be the first actual RP post in this thread.  Here we go...

Name: Albert Chexigan
Male/Female: Male
Age: 19
Height: 5'9"
Hair/Eyes: Black/Green
Rank: Trainee
Assignment: N/A

___________________

The klaxons sounded loud in Albert's ears as he ran through the darkened corridors.  Every now and then there was a splotch of green slime marring the otherwise clean and professional look of the Federation base.  Albert was out of breath, and nearly out of energy for his zorcher.  He had to find a supply cache or a substitute weapon, or he would be forced to fight his way through the flemoids with only his spoon to cover him.

He tapped the open button on a general access door, then stood cautiously to the side as it opened with a hiss.  The room was thankfully empty of anything but residual slime, so Albert entered, although not without the necessary caution.  He scanned the area, mini zorcher kept steady in his right hand.

Albert moved to one of the two doors that stood at the far corner of the small room, and opened it with a tap to the control pad as well.  As the door hissed open, however, Albert found himself staring into the face of a bipedicus.  A very angry bipedicus.

Albert took a step back and let loose a few bursts from his mini zorcher at the creature.  Thin lines of zorch energy laced the creature's form momentarily, but it soon regained its hold on the current dimension.  Albert continued to fire, but suddenly came up short as his mini zorcher stopped responding.  Grunting in agitation, Albert moved in with his bootspoon held ready in his left hand.  He dove quickly at the bipedicus and drove the weapon into the slime, then jumped back before the creature's attack could hit him.  This process was repeated a few times, but eventually, the slimy creature went down with a loud cry and a flash of zorch energy.

Albert smiled as he saw the large zorcher that sat on the table within the adjoining room.  He picked it up, then slapped a cartridge home.  All of the zorch energy in that charge would be expended in one shot, but it was powerful enough that one shot often could return even the hardiest of the unarmored flemoids.

As soon as he had collected the other cartridges that had been placed on the table with the large zorcher, he moved to the lift that stood in the center of the room.  He quickly activated it, then waited patiently for his ride to arrive.  As he was waiting, though, he heard something from behind him.  He turned slowly at first, but soon found himself face to face with an armored bipedicus.  He shouted in alarm, then took a shot at the creature.  In his surprise, his shot went wide, causing most of the energy to disperse as it struck the wall.  The armored bipedicus was not even phased, and it proceeded to slam a load of goop onto Albert's armored suit.  Albert tried to reload his large zorcher at first, then tried to fight the thing off with his spoon.  Before he was able to recover from his surprise, however, he found himself glued to the ground with slime.

It was dark for a few moments after he was slimed.  He couldn't move a muscle because of the incredible weight of the slime.  He tried to break free, but it was no use.

Finally, the lights came back, and he was once more able to move.  Instead of the sounds of the battle in the IFC base, he now heard the beeping and whirring of computers around him.  His trainer walked in front of him, then stood in front of his virtual training chamber, glaring at the trainee.

"You didn't look behind you, you didn't pay attention to what you were hearing, and you failed to check every door.  Add to that you need to work on your accuracy to conserve ammo.  You've got a long way to go, son, a very long way."

And didn't Albert know it...

Name: Test Subject 002 / Commander Xplfnt
Male/Female: Male
Species: Flemoidus Bipedicus
Height: 6'2"
Rank: Former Commander, currently captured
Assignment: In Jsnkz's words.... GHTX GVY HWDQ! Which means GET OUT OF HERE!

The Flemoid opened his eyes. Dull, red light emitted from the ceiling. He felt... crusty. Had he been cyrogenically frozen? There was no way to find out. He looked out the door. Wqrcv. Two Soldiers. He could take them on any day but this one. By now he had adjusted to the lack of light. There was another tube. It was filled with slime too. Crustily, the Flemoid groaned and slid out of the cracks in his own tube. He tried to open the other tube but it was no use- he was too crusty to gum up the workings. He would have to wait for a later date.
The taller Chexman turned around, possibly have heard the flemoid swear. Xplfnt reacted instantly and gummed up the tall and short one. His slime, however, was still crusty and within a couple of minutes could crumble. Xplfnt searched for something- something delish, something healthy, something NUTRIENT RICH! He opened every cupboard for something, but to no avail. All he could find were some Brand X boxes (Empty? So what HAD they been feeding me...?) and a rotten apple core (No nutrients here anymore.)
He looked behind him all the time, knowing that every second was pushing it. Then he turned around. It is true flemoids are very short sighted, but this one felt like an idiot. He had gotten out of the tube earlier and stared at a fridge without even knowing it. The flemoid laughed (Not a sound you would like to hear) and snuck out a whole fruit bowl. He felt revitalised like never before. Hvwkn~ (Which is Flemoid for Heaven).
He turned around. Both his captives had escaped down a lightly lit corridor. His crusted old slime had gummed up their Zorchers! Rwsqlct!
Xplfnt placed 2xGUMMED UP ZORCHER(s) in his inventory and jumped up, legs wriggling, through an open air vent...

Name: Molly Rice
Male/Female: Female
Age: 18
Height: 4'5"
Hair/Eyes: Blonde/Purple
Rank: Regular
Assignment: Collaborate with IFC scientists as a laboratory aide and relay their discoveries to the Chex Squadron

___________________

Her eyes felt heavier than rocks as she laid motionless on the flat bed in her quarters. Her armor was still fully intact, since she felt too exhausted to even remove anything. She simply allowed her body to relax, and the warm wind from the air vent above her bed gently caressed her face.

Molly had spent almost her entire day in the laboratories with Federation scientists. Apparently they had captured and preserved two bipedal flemoids in an attempt to study their anatomy in greater detail. She asked many questions about what they wanted to do with such information, but because of her rank, they did not tell her much. She did, however, get the distinct impression that they were building newer, stronger types of zorchers to deal with possible flemoid attacks in the future. It was only an educated guess, though.

As warm air continued to slide across her face, Molly turned her head towards the small, cube-shaped table at the foot of her bed. She took a moment to glance at a framed photograph resting in the center of the table. Fred Chexter, the Chex Squadron's most celebrated hero, stood boldly and proudly in the center of the photo with a large smile on his face and his right thumb pointed towards the stars. To his left was a shorter girl with long, blonde pigtails and sparkling purple eyes, also with a smile on her face. The little girl was Molly.

She still remembered that day like it only happened last week. It had been about one month since Fred single-handedly thwarted the first flemoid invasion led by the terrible Lord Snotfolus (as the people of Chex City came to call him). After the invasion force had been returned to its home dimension with zorch technology, the city broke out in celebration, and Fred received a hero's welcome. A few citizens even had the honor to get their photograph taken next to him, and Molly was one of those lucky citizens. She was so inspired by Fred that from that day forward, she started to pursue a career in the Chex Squadron.

At least two years had passed since then. Molly's days as a trainee were very difficult and vigorous, especially because of her age, but because of her exceptionally high intelligence and ability to move quickly, she managed to earn herself a promotion. She still had a long way to go, but for the most part, she felt right at home with the Federation.

Molly put her daydreaming aside for the time being and simply relaxed. It wasn't long, however, before she noticed something strange. The air vent, which had been continuously blowing warm air on her, suddenly stopped working. She blinked a few times in confusion. The vents never shut off at this time of year, she thought to herself.

Slowly, she forced herself out of her bed and walked to the other side of the room, where a small communication terminal rested on the wall beside the door. She pushed her finger on one of the buttons.

"Molly to Maintenance," she began in a light soft voice. "I think something's clogging up the ventillation system. It stopped working in my quarters."

Name: Buff Wheatman
Male/Female: Male
Age: 24
Height: 6'6"
Hair/Eyes: Dark brown/Dark brown
Rank: Regular
Assignment: Bodyguard/Escort

The trainees had gathered into the mess hall like grackles at a McDonald's after the rounds of testing was over. There were a few there that had were already Regulars or even veteran Commandos, but most of those in the know knew better than to try to pack in at this particular eatery, especially at this time of the day. The trainees were rather noisy, messey, and generally made more of a ruckus than was acceptable.

Buff Wheatman was one that could really care less about his surroundings. He went into the mess hall just to eat and paid little attention to what went on around him. He got his portion (and then some) of cereal, but also had a stack of vegetables and fruits at his side. He ate heartily, but healthy.

He sat down and proceeded to quickly work on his food. He was a rather quick eater and would probably be done before most of the trainees were even finished chattering, but he couldn't shake off the feeling that he was being noticed. He caught two women from the science division having a conversation, and he was sure one of them was looking right at him, especially when he caught the words "Buff" and "wheat" in the same sentence. He recognized the other woman as Molly Rice, but she wasn't talking and gave off the vibe that she didn't want to even be near the other woman that Buff couldn't place a name on. The conversation seemed quite one-sided. Buff slowed down his eating and put more effort into eavesdropping on the "conversaiton."

"See him?! See him!?  He enlisted into Chex Squadron two years ago, right when you did! However, unlike you, he passed the tests with flying colors and was already put on the regular Chex Squadron in a few weeks! He got a lot of attention from the high-ups in Chex Squadron. Some even think he'll be the next Fred! Don't you have a picture of him!? I mean, look at that how healthy he is! How muscular! Look at his lunch! Oh, look!! He's looking at us! I just know he is!!!" Buff knew he wasn't, but his slanted head position have the rattle-mouth all the proof she needed.

"Oh, isn't he just the cutest... Molly? Molly, are you listening to me?" Before she had to think of a response, though, the air vents shut off. Saved by the bell, she was.

The veteran in charge of the training was talking to someone on his radio and had a hunch about what had just happened. He stood up and shouted, "Alright, trainees, we need to do some investigating and see what just happened. Two science experiments just escaped and may be lurking about. I've already been sent the order to go up into the system and investigate what just happened. Since you trainees are the ones here, I'll be using you all on a little on the job training. We'll be going up there to investigate just what's happening. We'll be searching about and branching off to search for any anomalies. Science personnel, you need to go back to the labs to check on everything there and make sure nothing else there is damaged." The veteran then opened up the hatch and shouted once more, "Alright, troops, let's march!" The trainees and few regulars there began to enter the ventilation system through the opened hatch, led by a Commando showing them the way. As Albert passed by, the veteran shouted, "And don't screw this one up. There are no do overs here." He acknowledged him and moved on. Before the veteran entered last, he told Buff, "Make sure no suspicious persons or Flemoids enter or leave this hatch!"

"Got it, chief," replied Buff. The veteran entered in, assisted by Buff closing the hatch behind him. Buff stood stationed almost directly under the hatch with his Large Zorcher in hand, scanning around carefully for any stray Flemoids that might have escaped. Suddenly, he saw a glob of slime slithering along above the hatch. Buff immediate made a shot at it, but it was only partially hit and didn't completely teleport away. Before he could fire another shot, the glob had slithered away. "Shoot!" Buff yelled. He slammed the hatch open and immediately crawled in to catch up to the fiend before it could cause any harm. He pulled out his radio and called the veteran. "Sir, I just saw a Flemoid crawling through the ventilation system above the hatch! He may be right behind you or another division!" ... "Sir? ... Sir?..."

Hair/Eyes: Dark Brown/Light Brown
Rank: Commander
Assignment: Co-Lead the Chex Squadron in battle across the Cereal Universe

The Commander tuned in to his radio, setting the frequency to that of Squadron 145: Ralston.  With a quick sigh, his mind wandered as the opening announcements about the latest flemoid spawn in Bazoik played. "How many times do they have to talk about 2 new Commoni?" he wondered.  Just as he began to nod off, an alarm wailed somewhere in the ship.  The radio buzzed into life with a blast of feedback, and began transmission.

"Report. This is CQ145 to Frost. Repeat, this is Squadron 145 to Frost.  There has been a jailbreak in the labs.  There are 2 missing flemoids roaming the planet. We have three Recon teams out scouting for them.  Report is that dysfunctional lab equipment could not support the load of the growing specimens, and shattered. So far, there has been one injury. We're not sure to his condition, but the slime was not lethal.  Our best men are on the job, sir. Oh, and we included the rookie Wheatman too. This'll be a grand start to his career here with the CS, not to mention he's perfect for the job."

"Okay," the captain replied, "we've gotta get on this job, and FAST. I'm flying down there now to check out the situation. Expect me at the landing strip in 10 minutes."

"Will do, sir. Over and out."

Frost kicked his new Grand Chex command ship up a notch and blasted down to Ralston in a blaze of white light, knocking out any space junk in his way.  As the landing strip of Chex Airbase came into view, a squawk erupted from his radio once again.

"What the..." The Commander stared as he listened to the upcoming transmission. His hand lightly brushed against the turbo switch.

"Sir, I just saw a Flemoid crawling through the ventilation system above the hatch! He may be right behind you or near another division!"

"Sir?"

" ... Sir?"

Buff Wheatman crawled through the ventilation system like a maniac, trying to catch up to the Flemoid, or at least find some of the team. He reached a T-way intersection, coming from the bottom end. He heard some rattling coming from the 4 o'clock position... 3 o'clock.... He reached for his Large Zorcher, pulled his arm forward, waited a second, then fired--right at that moment, a Flemoid larva jumped out at the intersection from the right and got the full blunt of the attack. The larva rushed Buff and got zapped again for good--but not before getting a partial attack through. Buff look at his shoulder pads and notice they got a touch of slime. "I worked hard on cleaning that before," he muttered. "But if there's one larva...." Buff continued to rush through the ventilation after this revelation.

He eventually came to a section completely covered with slime all over the place, as well as a bunch of the trainees. "Are you all alright? What caused this?"

A trainee groaned under the pressure of his slime, "Oh, ugh... I don't know, were were just here, and *cough cough cough* it came out of nowhere *cough*"

"What could have done this?" replied Buff. "It would take more Flemoids to make this mess than are actually here. Even then, though, this couldn't have happened this quickly and in this manner."

The only regular member of this particular division of the search party spoke up. "Repair the ventilation...." Buff knew what would happen then--the air would come on and help blow some of the slime off.

"Good idea. I'll get right to it!" Buff backed up and went another way to get to where the damage to the ventilation system was. He took a turn, and saw a large cluster of Flemoid eggs. "Oh, bugger...."

Peter carefully sneaked his way out of the B Hanger into the main room of the first floor a giant circular room with an amazing sky light.  Suddenly Peter heard something from behind him which sounded like someone saying "I wanna a burger".
"GAH!" Peter jumped then dove under the nearest desk.

After some silence Peter slowly got out from under the desk and looked around.  There was still no one of nothing around.  The thought of Flemoids scared Peter to death, after learning about them he had been having terrible nightmares.  Peter the rushed to the Star Observatory Control Room across the hall then saw a small puddle of green slime at his feet.

Buff heard some screaming. It sounded like it came behind the insulation. "Someone's in trouble!" he exclaimed. He stared at the eggs, though. "Might as well zorch them here." He pulled out his Large Zorcher, zorched the cluster of eggs, then POWPOWPOWBANGBANGBANG!!!!! The eggs exploded in a spectacular mess and left Buff completely slimmed to the point of not even being able to move or talk. That's how the little buggers did it....

Frost was nervous as he tried to contact the other side.

"Read! This is Commander Frost! Report to Squadron 145! We need backup! Now!"

Even on this channel there was nothing.

"Hello! Please, somebody must b..."

Buff wiggled his hand out and had begun to work some slime off of the rest of his arm with his Bootspoon. He worked enough off to be able to reach for his Large Zorcher and use it--on himself. He zorched off the large chunks of slime, but he soon reached the point that he could no longer shoot without risking hitting himself. "This will have to do," muttered Buff. He observed the dead end, but noticed some rather bent metal on the bottom at the end of the section. He tossed it off and uncovered a vent. "Now, how in the world did the Flemoids manage to cover up the vent with scrap metal?" He opened the vent and hopped off to discover a ship in the hanger. He went near the rear of the ship. It's recently landed. The scream definitely came from here. He walked off and repeated his message of, "Hello? Does anybody need help?"

Peter looked up and saw a flemoid and then he realized he had no Zorcher on him!  "AHH!" Peter cried out in the sight of the flemoid.  He looked to the cupboard in the corner of the room and pulled out what turned out to be an old fashioned toaster.  Peter chucked the toasted at the flemoid.  The toaster just stuck on the flemoid's head then dropped down to the floor.  Peter knew he needed a Zorcher.  He ran pass the flemoid into the Star Observatory locking the door behind him.

There in the observatory he saw a Zorcher laying on the ground. It looked like someone fired it then ran off leaving it behind. When Peter took it he saw it was a Large Zorcher and it had some ammo with it. Then he herd some one speaking it sounded like "Hello? Does anybody need soup?". Peter's hearing wasn't really that good compared to other people. The voice came from where he was before, he locked the door and wanted to keep it that way.

Peter ran though the Conference Room then too the giant circular room. This time he was on the lower level. "Hey is anyone here?" Peter called out.

Buff heard a door lock, then he heard someone call out, 'Hey is anyone here?' Buff replied back with, "Hello? Does anybody need help?" Hmm. Sounded like it came from the Observatory Controls. He went towards the Observatory Room, but met a Flemoid on the way that was promptly zorched. He tried to open the door, but it was locked. "Who would do this?" I'll have to find the manual override switch. In between the talking out and talking to himself, Buff ran off to find the lock releases. Also gotta fix that ventilation. Then he had an idea....

After observing the ventilation shaft that Buff had stormed through several minutes ago, Molly noticed tiny pools of slime dripping from within. The moment her eyes gazed upon the distinctively green goo, her heart began racing.

"Oh no," she thought to herself. "The flemmies got loose!!"

Worried for her IFC comrades, she immediately placed one foot inside the shaft. However, she hesitated for a moment and quickly moved her foot back out, thinking to herself for a moment.

If there were flemmies in the ventilation system, she wouldn't be able to provide much assistance without a zorcher. She needed some serious zorch power. Fortunately, the virtual training chamber was just around the corner of the cafeteria.

Quickly, Molly spun around and dashed off into the hallway, making a sharp left towards the entrance of the training chamber. She knew that the Federation kept most of its stronger zorch technology in there. When she approached the front door, she quickly mashed her security code into the terminal on the wall, and the door promptly retreated into the ceiling.

Molly stepped inside, took a left turn, and approached a wall that was lined with red lockers. She opened the first locker on her left, only to find that it was completely empty. She grunted to herself and opened the next locker over. Empty. The third one was empty too, except for a single zorch cartridge. Might as well take that, she figured.

She struck gold - er, well, zorch - on the fifth locker. There were two zorchers - a rapid zorcher and a super bootspork. After noticing that the rapid zorcher was completely void of ammo, she tossed it aside and grabbed the bootspork, plugging it into the back of her Rice Chex armor. It immediately whirred to life and began spinning continuously at a slow rate. Perfect, she thought to herself - she wouldn't need to recharge the bootspork for a long time.

With her zorch equipment intact, Molly turned around and darted out of the training chamber. As she ran across the hallway towards the central room, her bootspork gripped firmly in her right hand, she heard someone shout.

"Hey is anyone here?"

Molly entered the giant circular room and saw one of her comrades on the lower level. She peered into the distance and responded.

"Peter?" she shouted back. "What's going on!?"

Buff radioed maintenance. "I think the clog is in the circular room, where the central air unit is. One of the escaped Flemoids probably went there."

"Roger that. We'll send a repair crew down."

After that, Buff decided to advance to the storage rooms, where the lock overrides are located.

"Molly! I can't tell you how happy I am to see someone here." Peter called to Molly who was on the upper section of the main room.
"I'm glad to see you back Peter, but whats going on?" Molly called to Peter.
"I'm not sure, I just back here to see this mess... Hang on let me get to the upper section." Peter when though the hangers then got too the upper section.

"I heard from Hanna before I got here, do you know if she is OK?" Peter asked.
"Sorry I don't know. I was just in the cafeteria when this started." Molly replied.

Portal gates ripped open and closed rapidly, whisking away the poor Flemoids into another dimension to fight a war that should have never started. Finally making up his mind, Green Wing turned and began a journey to the Flemoid Palace in deep space. He had decided that he was going to right the wrongs that Lord Snotfolus had committed.

Xplfnt fumbled with the zorchers. One time he accidentaly glued one backwards, activating it and bringing eggs from the Flemoid dimension. And he had been shot twice already. He wasn't ready for this. Not one bit.

The vent was the smallest place he had ever been. If he had somebody on his trail now, he- or she- would have been stopped when the fans started working again. However, little did they know that although fans reduced slime on a Flemoid's body, the cool breeze it gave would heal it quickly. And that they could be gummed up if they became a nuicence. The vents had become so small only a greased Scotsman could make his way through here.

The Flemoid smelled the cafeteria with his long appendage. More food. Nice. But where was food without people? Wqrv. Xplfnt hadn't thought about that. But it was worth the risk. Plus, who brings Zorchers to lunch anyways?

Apparently everyone.

Xplfnt dodged zorch as if he was taking bullets in the chest- that is, not very well. He was a quarter of his size before he reached the snack bar. He devoured the Chex and grew back to normal size, perhaps even a bit bigger. He stretched to the ceiling and crawled along to the vent, climbing in. His foot was zorched on the way in, though.

He sat back and examined the damage. Luckily the Chex would- in his enhanced digestive system- repair his minor injuries. But he couldn't be without a foot. He needed his foot. He looked down through the obsecured cover of the vent, holes made from misfired zorch. His foot was on the floor. It had been severed, not Zorched! But it was being... taken away? Noo! Not lefty! (In Flemoids, feet are used like hands when writing. Xplfnt is left footed.) Wqrv.

He crawled through the vent again. He still had the Large Zorcher, but the Rapid Zorcher had gotten stuck between two gaps and he hadn't the time to rescue it. He turned it to the wall and fired. The vent was made of Zorch-impervious steel steadily held in this dimension, but it didn't bounce back either.
Instead, it made a... Well, not a hole IN the wall, but more like a hole ON the wall. A Zorch-hole. Bricks fell through the metal wall to reveal a susprised face- the face of the Grknw Wqrn (Green Wing in Flemoid language). Xplfnt saluted ("Bkn Cyyr N Trjnk!") and gave him unexpected information.

Duing his time in the shaft he had found access to a Computer room. After sliming the happless Chexter wannabes, he had accessed information. However, he didn't understand Latin Ralstonis (The universal language of the Chex Universe, represented by English in text format), so he had taken it on a Flash Drive. He passed it and a Laptop through the Zorch Hole. He saluted again. The Grknw Wqrn asked if he wanted to come home, but Xplfnt refused, saying his foot was more important. Besides, he still had the Zorcher when he wanted to come back. The Grknw Wqrn agreed. Xplfnt saluted again, and the Zorch Hole closed...

"I heard from Hanna before I got here, do you know if she is OK?" Peter asked, now on the upper section of the central room with Molly.

"Sorry I don't know. I was just in the cafeteria when this started." Molly replied. "Did you run into any flemmies on the way here?"

Peter nodded his head and explained his surprise encounter with a Commonus in the Star Observatory area. Molly's eyes grew wide.

"This is terrible! Is the flemmie still in the control room?"

"It's not in the control room. I locked the door so it couldn't go in."

"Oh, good. We've gotta access the comm terminal and tell everyone what's going on!"

Molly quickly dashed across a bridge leading to the dead center of the room, where several terminals and an IFC flag rested proudly. Her fingers twitching, she scanned the terminals with her eyes and pushed several buttons in a memorized sequence.

"VERIFICATION REQUIRED - PLEASE ENTER PASSCODE" said one of the monitors in bold green letters.

Molly scratched her head, a worried expression on her face. "Where's a Commander when you need one?"

As Molly tried to decode the terminal, Buff appeared to be passing through the central room from the Star Observatory area.

"This is John Milk, requesting permission to land." John said on the radio from his ship. There was no reply to him though, so John repeated "This is John Milk, requesting permission to land.", but there was no answer. John started to get frustrated now. It always annoyed him since he was a regular soldier that they always took to so long to answer. Now that he was a newly promoted commander, he thought he would drop by FOC-HQ spaceship to talk to his former Commander, whom he remembers always seemed to be able to gain entrance to the ship whenever he requested within 30 seconds. 10 minutes have passed now, so John repeats his request, but this time he gave more details. "This is Commander John Milk, requesting permission to land in hanger bay A." When he didn't here a reply, John began to worry. he switched the auto pilot button on, and then click "orbit" so that his ship would orbit the FOC-HQ spaceship. After which he headed out of the cockpit to the weapons storage container and picked up two Large zorchers, and a zorch pak, then went to the teleported pad, where he teleported himself into Hanger A.

Buff made his way through the lowest floor of the central room, passing Molly and Peter on the highest floor. He was headed towards the storage rooms to get to the switches to open the Observatory.

He got to room 1, when he suddenly realized the switches had been covered with slime. "Ugh," he said out loud. "I'll have to uncover them." He got out his Bootspoon and went to work on the first one....

Deep underground, beneath the surface of Ixdrul, Green Wing activated a hulking portal device that linked Ixdrul to Flemoid Prime. The Flemoid steeled himself and teleported over thousands of light years to meet with Lord Snotfolus.

Green Wing's molecules reassembled themselves after traveling approximately 9,000.5 light years. He slowly crept up the green, rocky stairs to Lord Snotfolus' throneroom. However, he heard noises inside. Green Wing decided upon caution, and crept into a nook inside the throne room. He overheard nothing of interest, and decided to confront Lord Snotfolus with his dissatisfaction.

The meeting did not go well.

Lord Snotfolus refused to listen to any reason. Green Wing pleaded with him to stop the fighting before honest, hard-working civilians were affected. He was booted out of the throneroom. Green Wing decided that enough was enough. He rushed towards a large rock formation, which he knew to be the dwelling of Jellon...

After clearing off the slime off of the first switch, Buff realized that the label had been peeled off. "Shoot," he said. "Now how am I supposed to know which door this is going to unlock?" Buff thought about it, and then cleaned the other switches. Same story on all of them. "Clever little buggers. But why in Pete's sake would they not want me in the Observatory? Or maybe they're just waiting for me to unlock the wrong door." Buff gave maintenance a call to see if they knew which lock unlocked what...

...but in the meantime, maintenance made it to the top level of the central room. They spotted Peter and Molly. The lead technician asked if there was a Commander around to input the password so they could access the central air/ventilation unit.

"Hey, you two, is there a Commander around here anywhere?" called a faint voice.

"Over.....here......" Frost was able to only faintly whisper within the pilot's quarters.

Although there was only minor damage due to the ship's automatic shields, enough equipment had been damaged so as to fall on the Commander, causing a few broken bones.

An emergency button! That was it! Frost's fingers inched like earthworms across the electronic dashboard and depressed the red circle.  As lights went flashing and bells sounded all around him telling of an accident in the cabin, Commander Frost passed out.

Finally managing to bring his ship into the landing bay, by teleporting back and forth, John decides that he'll try and contact the ship once again. "This is Commander John Milk, is everything alright aboard the FOC-HQ ship?" John said. There wasn't a reply, so John decided he was going to leave his ship, and walk to the Control room. Right as Milk began walking away, he'd noticed a red blinking light just started to appear on his ships dash board. John got the coordinates of the S.O.S signal, and trotted off to the landing strip. On his way out hanger bay A, John had slipped on something gooey. His eyes began to grow very large, and he returned to get the two zorchers he left on his ship. Finally, John had took off to the strip.

Being a member of the High Council had many advantages for Jellon.  He was a well respected member of the Flemoid community, and he had many friends, in many areas.  This, however, would soon change, if Green Wing's information was indeed correct.  This life of luxury would soon be a memory as he would rise to take on the position of rebel leader of the Flemoids Resistance Army.

Jellon was proud of his lineage.  Once every 14 generations, it is possible for a Stridicus and a Cycloptis to bring forth the rarest species of Flemoid: an Xyzzy.  This rare occurrence is always a cause for celebration among Flemoids.  Not only are the chances of an Xyzzy being born, astronomically high, but each one is born with a unique ability.  Jellon was an Xyzzy and he did have a special power.  He was proud to have the ability to turn invisible; it had gotten him to the point he was at.  Being an Xyzzy was enough to get him on the Council, but he'd used his power to increase his position.  "No longer," Jellon thought, "no longer will I be respected as Speaker."

"It all comes down to this!"  As he spoke, he watched Green Wing ascend the steps to his home...

"Oh, good. We've gotta access the comm terminal and tell everyone what's going on!" Molly said as she dashed to the center of the room where several terminals where kept.

Peter was about to follow Molly, but in the corner of his eye he saw something green on the lower level of the main room.  A pack of four Larva entered the lower section of the main room and then headed to the center circular wall.  They attached them self's to the wall then started climbing up.  Peter drew his Zorcher and fired eight shots.  One by one the Larva got zorched after taking two hits from Peter's Large Zorcher.  Peter sighed in relief then counted his Large Zorch cartridges.  He had only ten shots left till he needed to find more.

Peter ran into the central room then saw Molly at a password screen.  Then two maintenance workers entered, they explained they where called up by Buff.  Molly turned around from the keyboard then asked the workers. "Hey, you two, is there a Commander around here anywhere?"

Then the alarms started to ring with in the distance, it was a distress signal for a ship.
"You hear that Peter?" Molly said before she could get an answer.
"Yeah I do, can you check on the computer where it's coming from." Peter replied.
Molly on a smaller screen pulled up a map of the IFOC ship showing all the three main levels.  The word Landing Strip was in red from the normal white, it had to be from there.

"The Landing Strip is on Floor C, should we go?" Peter asked, but then there was another sound out side of the room.  Peter peaked out of the central room into the main room.  There was more flemoids!

Slowly humming an old Flemoid battle march, Green Wing opened the door into the home of his old friend, Jellon. Jellon held a solemn expression as Green Wing carried out the explanation of what must be done. The two would have to lead a new army, one capable of toppling Lord Snotfolus' reign. However, the army would have to be composed of more than Flemoids. Green Wing took it upon himself to be an emissary to the Chex people, far away. The two friends said goodbye, and Green Wing returned to the portal terminal from whence he came, headed towards Ixdrul.

Once on Ixdrul, Green Wing calmed himself and then rushed upwards out of the cave/base. He leapt into an interdimensional vortex just as it was closing, and he was thrown through an interdimensional barrier. He finally landed softly on another planet named Indrul...

"The Landing Strip is on Floor C, should we go?" Peter asked Molly.

"Whoever needs help on the Landing Strip will definitely need our zorch power," said Molly. She then turned to the maintenance crew. "Do either of you have administrative access to the control panel?"

"I do," said one of the crew, stepping forward.

"Can you unlock this terminal and issue a Red Alert on all levels? I don't know how to do it."

Suddenly, there was another sound just outside of the room. Peter peaked out of the central room into the main room, and horror struck his face as he spotted a wave of flemoids approaching.

Molly felt several drops of slime fall on her head. She looked upwards and saw a flemoid larvae detach itself from the domed ceiling and fall down towards her. Quickly, she rolled out of the way as it splatted in the center of the control area.

"FLEMMIE!!" she screamed. She had never been so close to a real, moving flemoid before. There were flemoids in the combat simulations, but those reminded her more of clay monsters. This was the real thing.

The larvae lunged at Molly immediately, tackling her to the floor. She screamed loudly, squeezed her bootspork as hard she could, and thrusted it into the larvae's head. The larvae twitched madly as it was pumped full of zorch particles, and within a few seconds, there was a brief flicker of light as it was transported back to the flemoid dimension.

Albert could not believe what was happening.  One moment, he had been fighting flemoids in a virtual training simulation, the next he had been evacuated from the area when an alert had come about two escaped flemoids.  His mini zorcher shook in his hand and he moved.  He couldn't find anyone around in the facility, after the area had been full with rushing Chex Squadron members trying to respond to the calls from their respective assignment areas.

Every time Albert heard anything, he would send a burst of zorch towards the area.  So far, he had managed to shoot two walls and a control panel on his way, trying to get to his quarters.  Somehow, he had managed not to be spotted by anyone, even though he was being nothing that resembled stealthy.  Perhaps the flemoids were elsewhere.  He hoped so, anyway.  He had no desire to be slimed now.  He needed to finish his training before he was ready to actually face the flemoids.

A sudden thumping from beside him made him step back, waving his zorcher around cautiously.  The only thing that kept him from firing was the fact that he did not have a definite idea of where the sound was coming from.  He tried to locate it for a few moments after the thumping had stopped, but he couldn't find anything.  Finally, another rattling sound came, and he was able to see that it was coming from behind a ventilator grate.

"Hello?  Who's there?  Answer me!" he demanded nervously.  "In the name of Chex Squadron, show yourself!"

His last demand resulted in the cessation of the noises for a moment, but they once again resumed, now definitely coming closer to him.

Albert tried to keep his zorcher aimed at the opening, ready to deal with any monstrosity that might show itself, but it kept on wildly wobbling in his shaking hand.  Blast, why could he not be more like Chexter?  The legendary hero of the IFC would never allow himself to be so frightened by the unknown!

Still, Albert could not keep from shaking as he waited.  The sounds came closer every second, and he continued to walk steadily backwards until his back was to the wall.

He gulped quietly.  This was it.

Peter saw at least ten Cycloptis pass the main room, they where headed too the upper portion.  Peter barley had enough zorch to do with half of as many flemoids there actually where.  Peter heard a scream behind him, it was Molly; she was tackled to the ground by a Larva, but she used her bootspork to zorch the Larva back.
"We got to get out of here, there are a bunch flemoids heading up here!" Peter said.
Peter along with Molly and the maintenance crew headed towards a teleporter that would take them to Floor C where the Landing Strip was.  The four made it in time, as they stepped into the teleporter the hallway was filled with Cycloptis.

They exited the teleporter too Floor C and started heading for the Landing Strip.  The Landing Strip was outside so Molly and Peter put on clear glass helmets then stepped outside to the Landing Strip. The two workers stayed behind because they didn't have any Zorchers to protect them self's.

In the Landing Strip Peter saw the crashed spaceship and also saw someone else was trying to land.

Buff raidoed the maintenance crew like mad, trying to get an answer on what the switches did. "Gosh fiddle it. I'll never figure out what I'm doing if I keep messing with these stupid switches. I'm just going to stock up and do this the old-fashioned way." Buff picked up some "needed vegetables," a Rapid Zorcher, a Phasing Zorcher, and a Zorchpak in the 1st supply room.

He set back towards the Star Observatory. He opened the door, and suddenly had the attention of no less than 10 Cyclopti and 20 larva fixed on him. "Oh, bugger," he shouted. The Flemoids raced toward him like mad. "Hee hee. Let me show you how they do it in Orange County...." He opened fire with his Rapid Zorcher on the Cyclopti that were approaching his level, beginning the melee....

Green Wing had found a suitable Chex base to land in. His meteor craft came in to land, and he saw that another Chex ship had crashed before him. Near the landing platform were around 4 Chex people. Ah, the welcoming committee... He thought to himself. He began to touch down on the strip...

After hearing the news from Green Wing, Jellon decided to make preparations to visit the new rebel base, hidden deep within the mountains of Flemoid Prime.  As he worked, Jellon realized that he might need his Council position a little while longer.  He needed to make sure to leave a note at the Dome of Meeting before he left.  As he packed, Jellon felt a twinge of melancholy and regret about leaving his life behind to start a new one, but he knew it was the right decision.

After an hour or so of packing, planning, and locking up his house, Jellon made his way to the center of the city.  At  the Dome of Meeting, he left a note stating that he would be out of town on vacation for several days and to not delay any Council business on his account.  Satisfied that all was in order, Jellon made his way to the subway system, and prepared himself to see his future home...

Xplfnt watched the person below him shake in fear. Xplfnt stared into his wide eyes, and for once, saw a tinge of... guilt. No. He would pass over this area. The terrified male would be spared. Before the war, The Gryxn Wqrn had educated him on alien species. This included gender, and a few words. He knew what FOOD was. And CAKE. He was very proud of CAKE. He also knew HANGAR, but that was not a very exciting word. Now, CAKE...

The Flemoid stopped for a moment, locked in dreams about cake and food. Suddenly, the vent cover gave way under him! He scrambled back in before he could fall, but that was enough for Albert to start firing. He tried to gargle SORRY (Not a good word in combat), but the person got out a Rapid Zorcher and starting tearing away at Xplfnt.

The Flemoid, terrified, shot off down back towards the cafeteria for some food. They will be thinking, Oh, a Flemoid is dumb! They don't have plans! They don't strike twice in the same place! Well, I'll show them. I'm hungry again. Hopefully I can eat enough to regain a stub of a foot... The Rapid Zorcher the person was firing started to overload. Xplfnt stopped. He got out his Large Zorcher and fired at the opponent. It was worth a try.

The Rapid Zorcher was Zorched. It dematerilised. Albert looked up, confused. But Xplfnt was gone. He crawled through the vents. That was a close shave.

Name: Barthelochex
Male/Female: Male
Age: 25
Height: 5'11 (my height)
Hair/Eyes: Brown straight hair reaching a couple of inches past the base of the neck. Eyes: hazel
Rank: Trainee (only been in Chex Federation for a couple of months)
Assignment: Whatever he is assigned, often times being security guard jobs
------------------------

Barthelochex was dozing off from his job as a security guard for the ever important......janitor closet near the observatory.  Barthelochex thought that it was a low job to get, but he was happy to be in some kind of service, after only being in the Federation for a couple of months.

When Barthelochex was bored, he would finger his Mini Zorcher nervously. Unlike most members of the Federation, Barthelochex had his Spork in his front pocket instead of his Zorcher.

Back in the virtual training, Barthelochex would always fumble around awkwardly with his Zorcher when he was given shooting training. He couldn't hit the broad side of a Flembraine. But if he was given a Spork, then he could rip through the Flemoids like nothing else.  He commonly set the speed record for the melee training sessions.

Barthelochex was just going by a normal day when he first noticed that the vents stopped working.  He thought "Heh, at least I'm not on the Maitenence Crew, having to crawl around in that dirty cramped vent" and continued on fingering his Zorcher, but gripping the handle of his Spork.

Then suddenly, all of the lights turned red and started flashing as a S.O.S. alert started.  He quickly unsheathed his Spork in a jerk reaction. Just after he had unsheathed his Spork, Barthelochex heard a woman's scream in the Observatory and the oh-so-lovely-to-his-ears sound of a Spork scrambling a Flemoid's brain.

Barthelochex ran towards the Observatory door and right into a Bipedius.  Barthelochex was initially shocked.  So shocked, that the Bipedius got a free shot right into the center of his armor.  Barthelochex retched back, but then sprung forward as he saw the Bipedius raise his arms up again.  He pulled the Bipedius closer with his left arm, and in the same time frame of pulling, he was pushing his Spork through the flemoid's neck. The Bipedius was gone within a second.

Barthelochex then opens the Observatory door to see two other members there, a guy and a young girl. After trying to pry some of the slime off of his armor, he asks them: "What the heck is going on here?!"

Age: 23

Hair: Black "fuzz"
Eyes: Brown
Rank: Veteran
Assignment: Patrol.

Walking, looking, walking, looking.  Its the same thing for Rat Bowker ever since he was given this low-stress job by his doctor in order to fend off the nagging effects of the PTSD he got ever since he and his friends were slimed up in Bazoik, to be saved by a lone chex warrior.  Normally, this would be HIGH stress. The type of stuff that only makes things worse, but in Rat's case, this is peaceful.  "Like any enemy will come HERE in the middle of the Federation.  One step in here, and the slimeys are getting a one way ticket to Zorch City" he thinks as he wanders past a maintence room looking at workers trying to fit into a small vent.  "Like fitting a square peg into a round hole" he mutters and hums a tune.   Just then, the lights go red and a S.O.S is blaring through the whole building.  He runs. He has no idea where he is going, just running for the sake of running.  As he goes into the Observatory and sees three members in there in a state of shock and confusion.  "Hey its that new guy!" Rat thinks as he sees a man trying to get the slime of his armor.  "Its Baa....Barf...Barthe--" "HEY! Snap out of it!" Barthelochex says.  "I need back up! Will you be willing to help?"  Then, Rat sees the slime, the armor, the people in danger, as if none of the imagery clicked before.  As soon as his mind made the connection, all of life went out of him, and his body went cold remembering all the bad things that his doctor so tryed to keep under the covers with therapy and medicine.  Rat fainted on the ground.  His face fell in a pool of slime.

After cleaning out the central room with his Rapid and Phasing Zorcher, Buff went to where the central air unit might is housed. He couldn't crack the password, but he might could crack the "safe," so to speak. He took his right food and issued a hard roundhouse kick on the locked panel for the central air unit. The panel for it bent. Thank you, Carlos. He then repeated this process until he had a gaping hole in the panel. Peeling the rest of the panel down became a relatively trivial matter, with him just kicking down the areas surrounding the hole more. After doing this enough, he looked down through the hole, and saw the air unit that was supposed to raise up (but obviously didn't because he hadn't used a proper means of accessing it). It was completely gummed up with slime. "Knew it," he muttered. He squeezed through the hole, and took a drop down to the top of the air unit to begin is redneck maintenance of the air unit.

"What is that other spacecraft doing?" shouted Molly, her voice barely understandable over the loud roar of the ship. Her confusion was justified, since Federation protocol prohibited ships from landing when another ship was on the landing strip. Something about this wasn't right... and her gut instincts told her to help the people inside of the crashed ship as soon as possible.

Molly quickly rushed to the fallen Chexcraft, jumped up, and planted both of her feet on the side of the ship's emergency door. With both of her hands, she grabbed the door's handle in order to keep herself in place, and she began pulling with all of her might.

"Rrrgh... Someone help me with this door!" she shouted.

Buff mopped up all of the slime from the air unit. He climbed back up through the hole he made, and went off to the room thermostat. He turned on the air, and the unit went to work.

Stray, inanimate Slime flung through the ventilation system out through the vents like mad. The poor trainees stuck in the system could finally dislodge themselves and move about. Satisfied, Buff radioed the janitorial department. "Dispatch janitors to all of the vents. There's going to be a lot of messes under them all. I'm going to guard the central room and make sure nothing like this happens again."

A familiar and loved voice from the lead janitor came from the other end of the radio. "I've got it, sir! Joe Flakovich to the job!"

Green Wing found a place to set down his ship, and so he did. He noticed a female trying to yank open a door on another ship that had crashed previously. Green Wing disembarked quickly. He chose as close a form as possible to a Chex person. Bipedical, with arms. No hands, though. Green Wing rushed over to help the female, who turned and fled. He shrugged, and used his tentacle-arms to sucker onto the surface of the door and pull it off. A single Chex person, coughing from smoke inhalation, dragged another unconcious man. Green Wing wedged a translator device into his head, and turned to look at the other life forms...

Milk continued running down the hall to the strip. He had put his ship back into orbit so the flemoids couldn't get it. Coming around the door, he placed an oxygen tank on his back and a glass helmet on top of his head, and took off running down the strip. Making it to the broken down ship on the strip, John grabbed the handle to the door and yanked. It was no use though. He then sat there for a minute think on how he may get in. Then after a few seconds he yelled to the man inside, "I'll be back! I'm going to get a tool to help me open this door." There was no answer, so John "We'll... I said that to know if you're awake, and you're not I guess." He took of back down the strip, but instead he jumped over to strip B, and ran far enough away that he didn't hear the air lock door open. He had pressed a button on his armor for his ship to land on Strip B. The strip he jumped to, and also the strip beside the strip the broken ships on.

Climbing up the entrance to his ship and grabbed his crowbar and another pace suit, and went back to the strip A. When he made it to the strip, there was a young woman, and three men with her. The woman was trying to open the door, which he had tried earlier, and the other men just stood there watching as she took on the hard task to save the man inside. The woman shouted "Someone help me with this door." In reply, Milk was only 20 yards away now, so he had yelled back "It doesn't open! You'll have to use my crowbar!"

He got out his Large Zorcher and fired at the opponent. It was worth a try.

The Rapid Zorcher was Zorched. It dematerilised. Albert looked up, confused. But Xplfnt was gone. He crawled through the vents. That was a close shave.

I edited this post. No more Zorch Rift. I'll save that for later.

The Bipedicus made his way through the observatory. At first, his simple eyes decieved him and made him think he was lost in space. Eventually Xplfnt learned to stick close to the ground to stop himself being utterly confused by the immense space around him. He crawled to the next vent. But an IFOC person was standing there! He pulled out a silver metal stick from my back. Then the flemoid noticed that when he put it in the backpack it bleeped faster then normal. Wcrv. So they tracked me.

But this IFOC person was different. He held no Zorcher. Xplfnt stared at him. Then in his best English, Xplfnt gurgled "What?" His eyebrows raised. He had understood him. Although nobody knew this at the time, this was the first time a Flemoid and a Chex person had communicated in Three thousand million years. The Chex man raised his hand. Why didn't he zorch him? All Chex people thought of Flemoids was target practice. He raised his tag. It said, Intergalatic Comminucations Master, but Xplfnt didn't know that.

Slowly he climbed out with the man, and let them take him back to where they wanted him to go. Besides, if he did anything he didn't like, he would coat him in slime. The ICM knew this too. Xplfnt tried to manage a grin but with his lack of mouth it looked like he was flaring his nose. The man laughed. That was unexpected. He said something to a lady. The Lady screamed and almost pressed a button, but the ICM stopped her. I wiped my nose on her chair for good measure. He laughed again.

He told the lady about FOOD and CAKE and FLEMOID. This would probably turn out good unless it was Flemoid cake, but nobody liked the taste of Flemoid so I thought it was fine. He led me to a special room. It had a fake computer in it. It had a vent maze in it. It was a big room. He pointed. He said something about a NAME. (What do you think your name should be?) I tried to tell him my real name, Xplfnt, but he was confused. He called me Slimey instead. So I was a pet. Not a bad fate if I say myself.

I could tell that was what he said because afterwards a bar at the top of the room read Slimey: The First Friendly Flemoid. I didn't know why I knew all those words. He gave me a Slime proof dictionary and a CAKE. Nice! I feasted on it. He locked the door. No need. I could go any time I wanted with my Zorcher. I just didn't want to go yet. The Chex people were a lot more friendly then my teacher was. I sat back.

On the opposite wall, they continously displayed footage of Chex people getting slimed. Maybe they were trying to bore him into stopping sliming. It wasn't working much, but he never slimed the ICM man. Never. He was just too nice. He didn't even have a Zorcher. I never slime someone who's not trying to get me. It's what Flemoids call kindness. The only kind of kindness they ever display.

Molly was trying to open up the door with her bare hands, but with no luck.  "Rrrgh... Someone help me with this door!" Molly shouted.  Peter was about to rush over and help, but then a strange object landed on the Landing Strip then green figure almost glided out of what looked like the door of the ship then over too the commanders ship.  The green figure's hands touched the door Molly was trying to open, in almost an instant the hands where stuck on.  In a swinging motion the green figure tore of the door of the ship.

Suddenly Peter and Molly realized what was in front of them, it was a flemoid!  It's slimey head rotated to there direction.
"GAH!" Peter yelled.
"AHH!" Molly cried.
Peter, Molly and Milk started running in fear of this flemoid who got on the Landing Strip.  Milk ran to his ship and closed the door.  Peter and Molly ran to the door of the ship.  The first door of the air lock closed, but Peter was eager to get past the second.  The two drawed there Zorchers after getting inside the ship.

"What about the commander?" Peter gasped out after running so hard.
"We won't be any help if we get slimed." Molly replied.
"I guess your right, but we can't leave him out there, he needs our help."

There where other people in the landing strip Peter saw trying to help, he wondered if they where OK, he thought he saw Barthelochex there.  The maintenance crew causally walked into the room where Peter and Molly where in after running from the flemoid.
"You two seem relaxed for a flemoid invasion." Peter said to the crew members.
"It's quiet up here all the action is on floor A; we aren't trained with Zorchers so we are staying up here." The taller of the crew said.
"We got into the Maintenance Room on floor B; we might be able to fix whats wrong from there." The shorter of the crew said.

And then Molly just remembered something.  She saw while ago in the laboratories the new Zorcher Ceiling Turrets they installed though out the IFOC ship.
"The Zorcher Ceiling Turrets! Can you get them to work?" Molly asked the crew members.
"Well I know they work just not sure how to get them to work... I think Buff knows how to operate them." The taller said.

Green Wing wrenched the emergency door off of its hinges, glad to see that the occupents were protected by oxygen masks. He wasn't surprised that they fled from him as well - he WAS a Flemoid, after all. He entered an airlock after them, and noticed a computer screen on the wall, stating the date. Green Wing did a double take. He read the time at the bottom of the screen, and made an amazing discovery.

He had traveled 10 years into the past.

Name: Amity Smith
Male/Female: Female
Age: 20
Height: 5'4"
Hair/Eyes: dark hair, green eyes
Rank: Trainee, straight out of the academy
Assignment: Communications Tech

Amity was a daydreamer-- there was nothing better to do as a Comm Tech trainee on the off hour shifts. Other than the few messages routed to her that punctuated her day, Amity felt disconnected from the rest of the base. A bomb could go off and she wouldn't know. No one bothered telling her anything.

Behind her, the communications terminal worked silently.  She liked to think it was powered by the vibrations of the universe and the spiraling of galaxies and like a spider's threads, it pulled all the stories onwards through time. It pulled each one towards it's inevitable end.

Amity was just about to enter another deep daydream when, startled to attention, she nearly fell out of her chair as dampened, foreign sounds thundered and echoed down the dark, empty halls of the communications bunker, located in the lower levels of landing strip facility. Maybe some kind of ship, she thought. In the background a half-tuned communications terminal came to life and crackled with distorted questions, then faded. The words trailed off into space-squeaks and fuzz.

"What is going on out there?" She tried her voice and it came out softer than she had expected, like she was not sure it was really hers. She shook as more thundering rolled down the hallway, this time louder. It felt like the planet was churning under her feet. Amity pulled her legs up into the chair. Alone in her dark workspace, she listened, heart racing.

Green Wing calmly assessed the situation. He had traveled 10 years into the past through a warp rift. He remembered that this was just after the attacks on Bazoik. He knew what he had to do.

The inner airlock opened as the chamber pressurized. Green Wing proceeded inside, adsorbing (making an external layer out of) any stray slime that he found, intending to return it to its owner, or use it as a shield should a combat situation develop. His countenance was unreadable as he began to think of a plan to stop this entire fracas before it ever started. However, he decided, he would have to convince the occupants of this base that he did not, in fact, wish to devour them all.

Xplfnt fumbled with the dictionary. It was very intresting. He had never seen so many words. He had recently learned of PIE (although it was not as appealing as cake), TOAST (Now that was nice.) and JELLY (The British variant, which means Jello and not Jam. He had no idea what those words were).
He could also construct small sentences with his captor now.

"Captor, Why you have taken me?" It was very hard. The words were confusing, and they had vowels. Vowels are very hard to pronounce when you share your nose with your mouth.
"I have taken you to learn your motives. Why? Why do you slime?" the man said. His name was Brandon Breadman. Names were getting easier to remember by the minute. He had finally learnt his real name by now.
Xplfnt went to the dictionary and looked up MOTIVES. It was a fancy word for REASON TO DO STUFF, basically.

"Because... Zorchers hurt us. They rip us up and place us in hostile places. You carry Zorchers. I did not slime you because you are defenceless and have no terrible Zorcher. Only the larvae slime all, because they are young and mad. We also slime for food. Our home planet was sucked dry of resources."
He replied, "But what about the attack on Chex City? There was a chef, scarred for life, and many slimed children."

I stood there. Children? Then I remembered seeing many Quadrumpi group up at a school and half-lied. It was a bit shameful, but it was close to the truth.
"Nobody actually slimed him, though. And the children... Quadrumpi are cruel buggers. They aim for the weaker ones. I don't trust them, myself."
He stared. People often did that, so Xplfnt thought nothing of it. Then Brandon said, "Thank you for helping us." And he left.

I slipped over to the vents. They are actually quite fun. Plus, they changed position every day. They never got boring. It is fun when I get lost in there. There wasn't any fans, but he didn't mind. The breeze got annoying after a while anyways. He made his way to the top when he remembered that after all, he was a captive and had no freedom. But this was fine for now. And perhaps the Green Wing would be proud of his new knoledge. He would leave when he knew every word. It was a promise.

Chris was straining his wrench to the maximum trying to activate the ceiling zorch turrets. Dennis kept calling out "They're coming! Hurry up!" Chris could only reply, "Shut it! I'm working as fast as I can!" Suddenly, he had a breakthrough. He finished the first zorch turret! Panting, he dismounted and carried his ladder over to the second zorch turret. Meanwhile, Dennis was about to face the Flemoids. He had a Phasing Zorcher plugged into a Zorchpack for extra ammo. He waved it left and right, making sure no Flemoids could sneak past him.

Green Wing was getting nowhere. He could find no traces of life aside from the Flemoid goo on the walls. Suddenly, he heard the ever-recognizable cries of the Flemoids. Green Wing rushed to find them before they harmed anyone.

Dennis spotted a Flemoid. It was a larva. He quickly eliminated it with his Phasing Zorcher, but more appeared quite soon. He fired a continuous stream of zorch energy into the crowd of larvae, but seemed to get nowhere. They were coming ever closer. "Chris! I can't hold them off much longer!" Dennis cried.
"Dennis! Get back in here! I think I got both the turrets working!" Dennis fled from the wall of Flemoids into the laboratory. The turrets whirred into action and started blasting away at the larvae, eliminating ten of them every few seconds. Suddenly, a huge voice boomed out of nowhere.

"CEASE THIS BENIGHTED FRACAS!" Green Wing yelled in a commanding voice. Just then, a door slid open inside the lab...

The journey to the rebel base was a difficult trek for Jellon.  He had made his way as quietly as possible.  If ANY flemoid saw him, rebel or loyalist, he knew he was done for.  Only Frxgmr knew of his true political stance and he intended to keep it that way for as long as possible.

As he approached the base, Jellon shifted into his invisible state.  He silently neared his future home, he saw several commonus guards with a single cycloptus in charge.  "Perfect." Jellon said to himself.  He glided over to the front gate and tapped on it.  Rat-it-tat-tat.  This sound brought the guards to an instant alert.  The cycloptus brought two guards with him to investigate.  Slowly, the guards opened the gate.

Jellon watched as the two commonus soldiers exited the base to scout out whatever had knocked on the gate.  He took the opportunity to slide inside unnoticed.  "Nothing to report, sir." the commonuses said as the entered the base once more.  "Very well," replied the cycloptus, "back to your posts."

Jellon was elated.  He had made it inside!  He made his way to the centeral stockade, and used a similar technique to gain entrance.  Now all that was left to do was to find Frxgmr.  He glided down one hallway and up the next.  Eventually, Jellon could go no further.  He checked and saw no guards around.  Then Jellon shifted back to his normal state.  He approached the door marked Commanding Officer, and entered...

Chris rushed to the door, only to find that it was a malfunction. He leapt backward before he was crushed. Meanwhile, Dennis was pointing his plugged-in Phasing Zorcher at the giant Flemoid that had just come from the airlock corridor. True, it had called off the other Flemoids. True, he could understand it. But, that doesn't mean that Dennis should drop his guard. The large one switched quickly to Flemoid tongue.

"You must stop this. Now. These people are NOT your enemy." Strangely, the larvae were not listening to him. They looked at him with utter, unmistakeable rancor. Suddenly, one of the larvae leapt at him. Green Wing had no choice. He used his tentacle like a whip and whacked the larva onto the wall. He repeated the process until the entire wall was covered in larvae. What is this madness!? Green Wing thought to himself. Finally, he realized. 10 years ago, he was still a regular civilian on Flemoid Prime!

The Bipedicus fumbled with the Broken computer. They had managed to capture a flemoid before, but it had probably not known Latin Ralstone as the computer was a wreck. It was filled with crusted slime. Every area of space not filled with something inside the frame had been gobbed up. It was very crusty now, but in this amount it could never work again. Probably one of those Quadrumpi.

Xplfnt felt like messing with people. He hadn't been out for three days, and it was in a Bipedicus' nature to mess with people. With or without sliming. He stretched up to the ceiling, slipped through a crack and pressed a few buttons on a control panel. It turned all the currently on showers to cold instead of hot. He pressed another button, which made the CafeteriBots drop their food and do a dance. Finally, he typed in a command.

run- compy.prog

He was familiar with computers now. Unfortunetly Brandon always took away the computer after use (It was his, after all) but he had programmed a virus that did nothing but produce a Slimeproof computer in a factory line, have it delivered and turn off a random computer in the ship. It wouldn't have been a virus otherwise, but he just had to mess with someone else. It was in his nature. He slipped back into the room.

The computer had been made when Brandon watched to see what had woken him up at an early hour. It was a Service Tray, a type of robot that delivered items and hovered, making a horrible whirring noise. But the Service Tray was only carrying a computer. He followed it. He traced it through a maze of passages, before losing the Service Tray. He swore under his breath and walked home, to his quaters. Besides, it probably was none of his buisness...

Xplfnt plugged the computer into the wall. He activated TripleSecure" for Windows, and typed in his three passwords- Xplfnt, Food and Cake. He also made a program that would unlock every door in the building except for the airlocks and the ones that lead to them. He wore rubber gloves whenever he used a computer. They made it a lot easier and a lot less sticky. However, his happiness wouldn't last for long...

Milk was running towards the crashed ship, when he yelled out, "It Does..." he couldn't get the sentance off in time, he triped and fell off the side of the landing strip. since it was pretty high, Milk used his cowbar to hook onto the side. Hanging there for a little while, he then heared a scream, and running. Milk managed to get his right hand on the strip, but it had sliped again. Then there was a clank, and then an airlock open. It took him a few minutes, but Milk managed to pull himself up. He'd came to the ship, and saw it had its door already ripped open.

Milk ran inside, and went to the cockpit where he saw Frost, crushed under a shelf. Milk lifted the shelf up, seeing that frost was still breathing, he placed Frost over his sholder, and put an oxygen mask on his mouth. Milk took off, back to the airlock. When it had persurized, Milk ran and hid in storage room 3, where he tried to wake up frost.

Milk/Frost - Storage room 3.

Time-... Time alittle after GreenWing scared Peter and Molly.

Frost woke up somewhere on the IFOC ship...was it a storage room of some sorts? The shelves stacked across the walls were layered with cereal boxes.

"....wha? Hello?"

A voice called out to him in the darkness.  "It's all right, Commander. You won't be hurt for much longer."

Tilting his head, Frost saw his friend Commander Milk winking at him.  Relieved, he sat up.

"What happened?"
"There was a crash. Your ship blasted into the landing strip faster than Mach 5.  You managed to survive with only a few broken bones from a falling shelf."
"Oh dear..." The whole event came back to Frost in a flash.

Suddenly, a tremor shook the walls. Boxes of Chex came flying downwards.  A sickening thud sounded on the other side of the door, and slime creeped in through the cracks.  Somebody was pounding some flemoids into submission, but how?

"We need to move, Frost, and fast. Let's see, the quickest route to the medical chambers is over..."

A ripple of cracks spread across the floor, and the two Commanders fell through the gaping hole that was formed.

Commanders Frost and Milk - Falling through hole (destination unknown)

Time - Occurs as Green Wing slams larvae against wall

The Bipedicus fumbled with the keyboard. He was typing up SECRET MEMOIRS OF WORLD DOMINATION, a playscript. He did have an inventive mind... Then Brandon came in. I jumped. He didn't ring the bell as usual. He was obviously annoyed. Then he stared at what I was holding. "So..." he said.
"I have brought this computer. I wish to use a computer while you use yours." He obviously didn't look convinced. "I thought I could trust you..."
"I thought I could trust you too. I can escape any time I want. I just don't want to. Everything I have ever said to you is the utter truth." I said.

Suddenly he raised a Zorcher. And I was convinced now. It was time to leave.

I sprang around him, with the Laptop inside me, unplugged, as well as the Zorcher and Dictionary, and gobbed him to the ground. Then I stole his Fruit Bar snack and grew a little bit. I ate the food for today and regained my strength. I Zorched a hole in the wall, then crawled back into the vents. This was a hectic day. If it weren't for the computer I would still be back in there, possibly as a trusted link between Chexkind and Flemoids in 10 years time... but still.

The vent was large and spatious. This was the living quaters. They deserved better air. Or something. Well, their air was blocked off now. Xplfnt was in a grumpy mood. He thought he could trust Brandon. But no. It wasn't very good. Xplfnt decided that, knowing Latin Ralstone, he would make a Latin Ralstone name for himself.
He placed the dictionary onto the vent ground and turned the pages. Every word... Good words. But not his words.

He was now in the back of the book, with Latin words. Calamus... Calamadus. Calamidis? No, Caladus. That would be his Latin Ralstone name... But Xplfnt wanted his old name mainly. Caladus would have to wait for a bit until he was on a council of some sort. He could teach the Flemoids of Latin Ralstone more words. All words. But what would the officials think of that? Well, Xplfnt knew what the Green Wing would say. 'Know your enemy.'

Buff had stood stationed in the central room this whole time to guard the central air unit against further attack. However, he noticed a panel beeping next to the housing. He looked at it, and noticed that the computer reported obstructions in the flow around Bedrooms K and L, as well at the Cafeteria. "Not this again," he sighed. "What are they doing this time?" He knew that leaving his post could very well be what the Flemoids were aiming for in the first place. Instead, he radioed maintenance to check on the situation.

No response.

"When will they ever be done?!" he quietly yelled (it can be done). Buff sighed again, and decided to go directly to Admiral Wheet about the situation.

"Admiral, this is Buff Wheatman. I'm stationed in the central room, guarding the central air unit against further attack. There are obstructions in Bedrooms K and L, as well as the Cafeteria, but the maintenance crew has been unresponsive for several minutes. Can you get a fix on the situation, and perhaps get more help to those areas?"

The vent started glowing an eerie red. Xplfnt stopped. He was being followed! He slipped and slided, and made sure he wouldn't block anything in the process. Eventually he stopped- in the middle of the circular room. He was safe here. There were enough vents so people wouldn't even know the difference..

He curled up and dreamed away, of a Queen on the roof, a Zorch hole removing the ship from this universe, Many people slimed, and unslimed, and of encounters fit for the imagination. But they felt so... real... Deyja Vu? Oh gods, not this again. Xplfnt dreampt his current future path sometimes. It could be changed, but this one didn't look good.

Molly along with Peter and the two maintenance crew members ran from the small room next to the landing strip to the teleporter next to the hallway to take them to Floor B.  They where planing on getting to the maintenance room on Floor B to try to activate the Zorcher Ceiling Turrets.  Peter was the first one to get to the teleporter, but it wasn't admitting any light.
"The teleporter, its not working..." Peter gasped out almost out of breath again.  It was true, someone had deactivated the teleporters to stop the flemoids from spreading on the different floors of the ship, but this hadn't helped much with the situation.
"Now what?  How are we going to get into the maintenance room now?" The shorter of the two crew said.
"I know, lets take the emergency stairs." Molly said then ran towards the door that led to the staircase.  The door opened when Molly pressed the red emergency button next to the door.  Peter, Molly, and the crew members made there way down the stair case till they passed a door with a large "B" on it.

The four cautiously made there way though the hallways of Floor B not knowing what might pop out.  At the end of the hallway was the door of the maintenance room.  The taller of the two crew ran ahead and used his ID for the security lock on the door.
"Ah-Successes-s-s-s Ah-Ah-Ahhh" The security lock device spat out before blowing out.
"Now how are we going to get in there?" The taller two crew said.

"Look over here." Peter said pointing to a vent that was several feet away from the door.  The vent could easily let them get into the maintenance room.  Peter climbed into the vent and in about a minute he was in a dark room he never been in before. Suddenly Peter was scared again.  A strange gargle sound came with in the room, it echoed softly.
"Can we get some light in here?" Peter asked the crew members when they stepped out of the vent into the dark room.
"I bet the light aren't working, we where going to get to that someday, but its to late now." The shorter said.
"Let's try to hurry up then, I think there are flemoids in here."
"Very well, lets start by finding where the turret controls are..." The taller started to say, but interrupted by a sound.

Molly remembered she brought a flash light with her.  Molly turned on the flash light then shown it where the sound came from.  Out of the rows of computers out came a Quadrumpus!  Molly had learned out about Quad's before, but she never knew they were this big!

The men had been falling for what seemed forever. Suddenly the life flash was interrupted by a crate. Milk wasn't injured,  just a little banged up, and Frost seemed fine, his broken bones might of been damaged a little more though. He slide over to the side and looked down. Milk turned to Frost and said "Can you walk?".

Buff looked at a monitor and noticed that a rather large IFC ship was orbiting Central Command. "Did someone radio for help?" Buff went over to one of the communication terminals in the room and tried to hail the new ship. "This is Lieutenant Commander Buff Wheatman." He peeked at the terminal again, and saw that the ship's identification was Chexerprise. "We require assistance with escaped Flemoids from the science labs. They have reproduced, brought friends, or done something, and are trying to take the ship over." He waited for a response....

"Can you walk?"

"Hmm, I think so...."

Carefully moving one leg, then another, Commander Frost sidled over to the door. Lifting himself up, he found that he could walk, but his collarbone was badly broken, and he had sprained his wrists. Not too bad, but it would still require medical assistance.

Milk threw an arm around Frost's shoulder and together they walked into the Medical Facility.

A few shots and a bowl of cereal later, Frost was feeling his old self again, when all of a sudden he heard another radio squawk.

"Not again..." he thought. "It seems that every time I hear a radio signal, something bad happens."

"This is the Chex Ship Chexerprise, reporting to IFOC Central Command. Repeat: Chexerprise to IFOC.  We just received a distress signal coming from the ship. Are you okay? Repeat: Are you okay?"

It turned out Frost was more correct than he had thought.

Peter herd Molly behind him, he quickly turned around to see a Quadrumpus lit by Molly's flashlight.  Peter took a few steps back and fired his Large Zorcher at the flemoid.  The flemoid disappeared in a flash a red leaving the Maintenance Room quiet again.
"Uh oh..." Peter said under his breath.
"Whats the matter?" Molly asked.
"I'm out of zorch for my Large Zorcher."
"I think I can find the turret controls somewhere, can I borrow your flashlight?" The taller crew asked.
"Sure." Molly said as she gave the light to the crew member.

The taller crew member slowly walked though the isles of computers and passed a computer screen with a sticky note one it.  He took a back step and took the note to read it.
"Please do not touch these Zorcher Turret Device controls! Professor Bluechex." The taller crew read out loud.
"Looks like we found it!" Peter said.
The taller crew pressed the power button of the terminal where the sticky note originated.  It took about 30 seconds to load, but then a blue screen with text appeared.  In red letters it asked for the password.  The taller typed in his maintenance code in and found where the controls where at.
"Alright lets see if this works..." The taller said.

Another password screen opened up, but this time the normal maintenance code didn't work.
"Professor Bluechex is the olny one with the password to turn on these turrets I guess..." The shorter said.
Molly was thinking to her self, she was thinking back when she was in the laboratories watching Professor Bluechex putting together the Zorch Turrets.  Then she remembered how much Professor Bluechex talked about his cat, then a idea struck her.
"I think I know what the password is." Molly said while walking up to the keyboard.  She typed in "Chexy" Professor Bluechex's cat's name and then hit the enter key.

"Access Granted" was shown on the computer screen.

"Commander Brando, I must protest. There are Flemoids on board the IFC COMMAND SHIP! They can't simply be ignored!" Brando glares at Felix. "I know there are Flemoids over there, but like i said. we can't send a team in without knowing something about what we are up against. Now sit down and place the ship on alert already." Grumbling, Felix walks back to his console, presses a few buttons and the lights dim as the ship is put in alert. Suddenly a chime rings out from the Comm. station. "Sir! We get signal!" "great work Ensign Ricky. bring it on screen." "It's audio only sir" "Oh, well o.k, bring it on speaker then."

As Buff was talking with his personal communicator, a communications terminal (essentially a fancy telephone) in the central room began to short out with flying sparks. Then, slime began to pour out of both ends of the phone. Have mercy on my soul.... He went over to another terminal, but none of them worked. They probably fragged the comm system. He used his communicator (which isn't directly connected to the station comm system) and tried to radio the maintenance crew again. "This is lieutenant commander Buff Wheatman to maintenance. Please respond." ....

Dennis and Chris had fled from the hulking monstrosity. It didn't come as a shock to Green Wing. He gazed out of a window and stared at a giant easily identified, extremely homely ship the Chexerprise. Green Wing nearly burst out in sudden laughter. What a ridiculous ship! But, he needed to get going. The Flemoid infestation was getting worse. The larvae he had beaten earlier had died. He needed to take care of this problem, and quick. But first, there was the problem of the almost-deadly automatic zorcher turrets locking on to him at the moment...

He dived to the left at the last second, firing off a large mass of goo at the turret, incapacitating it. The other turret clipped him on the left shoulder with a powerful zorch blast which did little except annoy him. He also easily took out the second turret.

The turrets where turned on, but they where not just shooting flemoids they where shooting people to!  The slime that got on the turrets was easily zorched of by the other ones.

Peter, Molly, and the two crew members where still in the Maintenance Room.  There where turrets in the Maintenance Room too.  The four hided under a table while the turrets fired violently at nothing.
"I knew we should have called Buff up before turning on these turrets!" The shorter of the two crew said to the taller.
"Hey it was your idea!" The taller replied.
"There's no time for arguing, we need to shut these turrets off!" Peter yelled out, but barely hearable over the zorch blasts.

Suddenly during the chaos the taller crew's communicator started blinking.  He picked it up and heard Buff speaking to him.
"This is lieutenant commander Buff Wheatman to maintenance. Please respond." Buff said on the other end.
"Yes this is Jim, just in case your wondering... It's all Bran's fault!" Jim the taller almost yelled into the phone.
"Hey! It's not my fault! Jim turned on the turrets before calling you!" Bran said into the phone after snatching it from Jim.
"Turrets? What turrets?" Buff replied.

It turned out that only Floor B's turrets where activated.

"Should I turn them on or off? Anyway, I've been trying to contact you for over an hour. Where have you been? I need a few things from you. First, the phone system just got slimed. There is quite literally slime pouring out of the telephones up here. And next, the switches in the storage room got slimed, as well, and I can't tell which one opens the door to the star observatory, since someone locked it. I need the door to be unlocked, and the switches fixed up."

"Alright well try to get the doors unlocked, can you come up here because we have no idea on how to operate these turrets!" Jim said into his phone.

While Jim and Bran where talking to Buff Molly and Peter decided to try to shut off the turrets until Buff got where they where.  The zorchers stop firing , but there where still on.
"Soo... how are we going to get to the computer? Sneak?" Molly asked Peter.
'I don't think we can hide from these turrets, I think we just gotta run." Peter replied.
The two where two tables away from which the one with the turret controls rested.  Peter and Molly suddenly dashed from under the table and took refuge under the next dogging several fires from the turrets.  They continued this until the where finally under the controls.  Molly grabbed the keyboard and in several quick key strokes a computer voice called out. "Turrets deactivated."

Peter was the first to step out from the table to test whether or not the turrets where really off.  Nothing happened and Peter gave a sigh of relief.

"Sir, I though the turrets were automatic. They should be targeting hostiles only. I can shut the whole thing down form up here if need be." Buff was frustrated at the maintenance crew, but did nothing to show it. Why are they asking me to go down there and operate the stupid things when I can shut the whole system down from here!? Why do they even want the turrets off to begin with?! "What's wrong with the turrets that you need to shut them off?"

Name: Hanna Darrow
Male/Female: Female
Age: 21
Height: 6'2
Hair/Eyes: Red/Blond Mix/Red
Rank: Veteran
Assignment: Defense Team Captain

Hanna Darrow grew up in Chex city when she was younger, her father and mother where both well known Chex warriors so of course she was expected to become one too.  At the IFOC where they train trainees to become Chex warriors.  Hanna flew by the testing with almost perfect marks and became one of the few Chex warriors under 18, she was 17 at the time.  After years of experience of fighting she decided to take a different job.  She decided to work at the IFOC Spaceship as the Defense Team Captain.  Really the only thing she did all day was to approve or disapprove departures and arrivals of the IFOC Spaceship.

One normal day one the IFOC Spaceship working on her personal computer she saw that a ship was near by.  She checked the ID of the ship and knew who it was.  PHA129 the ID read, it was her friend Peter arriving back from his trip on his mini ship.  She picked up her radio and called Peter.

Several more Flemoids passed Green Wing in the haul. He ordered them to halt.
"Hey, you three! Stop, right there!"
However, the Flemoids refused to comply. He grabbed the head of a Bipedicus.
"Stop moving, or I'll hurt him."
Green Wing's threat got the attention of the Larva and the Quadrumpus ahead of him, who immediately began looking at him with malice. The Bipedicus in his hands was squirming.
"You will stop destroying this ship, and help clean out this infestation."
That was pushing it a bit for the Flemoids. The Quadrumpus balled his tentacles' tips into fist-like protrusions, and suddenly launched itself at Green Wing. Green Wing had a decision to make.

In a split second, he made it.

Green Wing tightened his grip on the Bipedicus' head, and ripped it clean off. The body of the Bipedicus crumpled over as Green Wing launched the Bipedicus' head at the charging Quadrumpus, who immediately stopped dead in his tracks.
"ENOUGH!"
Green Wing forceably yelled.
"I don't want to have to kill you, too. So, please, just listen to me. We have to stop this infestation right now and get all of the Flemoids on this ship back into our dimension before the Chexerprise spreads the infestation."

Peter and Molly rejoined with Jim Bran after they deactivated the turrets.
"What's wrong with the turrets that you need to shut them off?" Buff's voice called out of the radio.
"Nothing now their shut off now." Jim responded.
"Should I come there or not?"
"Yes! We need you to help activate them so..."  Jim began to say, but then saw his radio die of power.
"Is he coming?" Peter asked.
"I'm not sure, but lets hope so."

Hanna was roaming the hallways of Floor C then heard a sound.  It came from the lower floor.  Quickly she ran to the nearest teleporter to Floor B.  Still there was no one or anything around.

Then out of nowhere she heard Zorch shots being fired, the shots sound like the ones from the new Zorcher turrets.  They where coming from the maintenance room.  She ran over to the door, but before she could open it the sounds stopped. Human voices where talking in the room and then another sound coming from the hallway, but this time it wasn't human.  The flemoids had found there way up to the second floor.  A army of flemoids pored into the hallway being led by a humongous Maximus.

Milk listened to the conversation on the radio. He yelled to Frost, "I guess this means we're getting back up!" Frost was busy taping a stick to his leg to keep it strait. Milk continued to listen, when he heard "Okay Buff. We have a team on the way. We are also trying to communicate with the owner of another ship in orbit." Milk lifted his radio and replied. "This is commander John Milk, I'm the owner of the ship that you're trying to contact. Another commander, Frost and I are in the medical bay, and we could use some medical supplies." Milk waited for a response.

Xplfnt awoke to the sound of rattatat rattatat on his cosy ventilation system. Sounded like turrets. He made his way through the maze of vents. The noise stopped. Suddenly, the vents fell apart. Someone had used a Mega Zorcher below him and some of it had recoiled onto the screws. He fell.

Xplfnt landed. 'Flight Control Room'. What a wierd name for a room, he thought to himself as he got up and examined the place the vents had burst open.
Behind him on a table with a phone was a large bowl of cereal. He gobbled it all up, growing to a large size. He could be promoted to Armor squad if he stayed like this.

The Bipedicus finished his full turn. Nobody in the room. Must have left. Wasn't the Mega Zorcher the painful one, the slow-acting zorch? He shuddered. The vents were now unsafe. He would have to find an escape from this prison of a ship on foot. But this was a SMART Bipedicus. He wouldn't get zorched. He would be prepared.

Xplfnt slipped inside a spare Female Chex Squadron suit by the window (He could tell it was female designed because he didn't need to fill the shoulder area much) which, scarily, fitted comfortly. He drained some of his foot away and punctured holes in his gloves just incase they realised his deception.
Then he did up his shoulderpads into a mask, like the Chex Warrior did.

Suddenly you could only tell it was a Flemoid if you looked closely into those yellow eyes. But nobody does. Nobody ever does. The real Chex Warrior considered it an insult, so if he was lucky nobody would notice. He could pass himself off as the Chex Warrior and escape on a ship, yessss...

The Chexerprise slowly completes its first rotation around the IFC Command Ship. Even though the ships were many kilometers away from eachother, it was obvious that the situation was getting worse. Looking over her sensor readings, Samantha could tell that the spacial distortions on the Command Ship were growing and multiplying, with the tension among the bridge crew growing likewise.
Ensign Ricky chimes in. "Sir! we get signal. audio only"
"This is commander John Milk, I'm the owner of the ship that you're trying to contact. Another commander, Frost and I are in the medical bay, and we could use some medical supplies."
Brando reaches for the reply button. "This is Lieutenant Commander Brando of the Chexerprise. we read you Mr. Milk. we have a team on the way and they should reach you soon."
"Thank you Chexerprise"
"I also suggest you build up your defenses until the team arrives, we're detecting that the flemoid force is growing rapidly. we're also trying to keep in contact with one Buff Wheatman and we'll do our best to keep you updated. good luck Mr. Milk."
Brando puts the transmission on hold and contacts Felix informing him that a medical team would be accompying them and they should make way to the medical bays once they land.
A few minutes later, the away team's transport could be seen making way towards the Command Ship's landing bay.

Peter, Molly, Jim, Bran small discussion was interrupted by a large banging sound, it was the flemoids trying to get in though the locked door.
"This is bad." Peter said while they where running to the other side of the room, distancing them self's from the flemoids as much as possible.
"That door and the vent are the only ways to get in this room." Bran said.
"You mean were trapped in here?" Molly exclaimed.
"Looks like it." Jim responded.
"It won't be long before the flemoids use the vents to get in." Bran said.
"We need someone to help us."

The three Flemoids proceeded down the hallway. Green Wing noticed a pack of Flemoids watching a particular wall. He snapped his fingers and the Flemoids took notice of him, but then returned to observing the wall.
"Hey, you. What's so interesting over there?"

No response.

Green Wing heard a muffled discussion coming from the wall, which turned out to be a locked door.

"Get away from there." Green Wing ordered. "This is your last warning."

The Flemoids began bashing the door. Green Wing grabbed the nearest Flemoid and ripped it away from the group. His two Flemoid pals stood back and watched as the group of Flemoids was pounded by Green Wing. Soon, the Flemoids had been reduced to a pile of slippery goo. Green Wing grabbed the bottom of the locked door and pulled it up, literally bending the metal, creating friction and sparks. He slipped into the hole he had made and came out the other side. Before him, he saw four Chex people. Three males, one female.

"Good day to you."

As Jellon entered Commander Frxgmr's office, he noticed how different it looked from the offices he was used to seeing.  Instead of plush couches, this office had modest, wooden chairs.  And in place of the elegent lamps were simple light bulbs.  However, this was not a comfortable office.  This was this office of a simple, homespun war officer.

Commander Frxgmr looked up to see his friend Jellon enter his office.  While surprised at having the Speaker of the High Council in his presence, Frxgmr had known for some time that this day would come.

"Speaker Jellon, it is good to see you again."

"And you Commander Frxgmr.  I regret to inform you that this isn't a social visit.  Please sit, and I shall tell you why I have come..."

After a quick transfer of words, Milk had begun work on a defense in the medical room. First he locked the door and this will would hold off the flemoids, but also and incoming injured men. He proceeded to take out a pocket knife, and cut instructions on the wall out side in the hallway. These would instruct the injured to yell out into the vent system so he may know that they are there, and thus can open the door. Though it wasn't as easy as Milk had thought it would be, it was very hard to cut into the wall, and it made a sound similar to a person scratching their nails on a chalk board. He knew that a flemoid could come out while he took an hour writing, so he took the emergency axe and quickly wrote his instructions.

Coming back into the medical bay and locked the door. Since he had two full large zorchers, he handed Frost one saying, "keep watch down here, I'll climb up and guard the air vent from being clogged." That is exactly as it went, Milk took the screws out of the gate in front of the vent, and proceeded to place the vent on the side of the intersection that didn't lead to the hallway, and stood guard. Milk yelled to Frost, "It appears the air flow is still blocked in a couple areas. The air pressure probably pushed flemoids against the gates in the vents, blocking the flow." After a few minutes silence, just to make conversation, Milk said to Frost, "How is your leg doing anyway?"

Other than the fact that all 5 members of Felix's away team were wearing red shirts or medical personell untrained in combat, Felix was feeling fairly confident. But immediately upon entry to the IFC ship, they notice the ominous and very alien vehicle in the landing bay with them. the ship was obviously of flemoid design but this one seemed... different.
Felix points at the flemoid ship "you two, check out that ship, make sure there's nothing left behind" charging up their rapid zorchers the two slowly and cautiously make way to the curious object.
"Chekson, you come with me. lets see if we can access the computers so we can find a way to the medical bays."
"the rest of you, arm yourselves, hold your position, and stay alert, at this point, anything can happen."
