What, the voiced cutscenes?  They're coming nicely.  I've added 500 lines of script to E1M1, and I'm working on getting the voices done.  It'll be ready soon enough.

A few slight delays, but I'm back at it.  I'm hoping to release a new version by somewhere in mid to late July, at the latest.  If everything falls into place, as early as the middle of June...

What's wrong with that? Delays or not, a June or July release date for the new version sounds pretty good to me.

E1M1's cutscene is basically complete, excepting the cleanup and the voices.  I have a cold now, so it may take a little bit to get those ready.  Still, the actual motion of the cutscene is pretty much done, except for a prop character I plan to add.

On to the other cutscenes!

Try middle of July.  I'm doing some summer work right now, but I am progressing, slowly though it may be.

I have finished the second cutscene.  There will likely be three, though a fourth very short cutscene may be in the future in the current levels.

In other news, I have found the program that I plan to use to mix the voices and clean them up.  I've already played with it, and it works perfectly.  Back to work!

a)What is KDZID?
b)Not that I know of.
c)Anyone want to try doing a voice?  PM me and prefferably give me a sample.  You must have a microphone (Built-in is fine).

Parts available:  Chex Squadron Commander (Male), Chex Dispatcher (Female)

Your gender does not have to match, you just have to do a decent impression of the other gender.

KDIZD likely stands for "Knee-Deep in ZDoom". Do a Google search for it. I hear that it's an insane looking ZDoom mod, and I mean that in a good sort of way.

I might be able to scrounge up voice auditions sometime. I'll let you know when I have any available for you. Do you want any particular test lines or something?

Just make it at least fifteen words long and try to make it sound like something the character would say.

I'd like to try. Mebe with my house empty for once (thank you, buisnesses), I might do some.

And KDIZD is an extreme level overhaul on Shareware doom. With new enemies, guns, level styles, and textures...its awesome looking. Only problem is the levels are only reminicient of the originals due to copyright laws (I think). It has a TITLEMAP with a cutscene in the same style as xbolt's (and probably your's) with a voiceover of a narrorator and a DooM commander.

EDIT: Well, here's my attempt...
http://files.filefront.com/tycbidttwhhimwav/;10681355;/fileinfo.html
I had no idea what to say so I said, "Thank you, commander, but I dont think thats what he had in mind." (IDK really weird)
