Dreamworks has a totally different style of animation. Pixar has always impressed me at making it all cartoon styled, but in 3D. Its amazing.

We watched Prince of Persia last night. I'd go as far as to say its the best video game adaptation into a movie evar. Story was amazingly detailed, action was intense, and the humor was...weird for a movie like that, but funny. And what surprised me...it was clean. Just a good, clean, family action movie. Good stuff, Disney...

I'm also going to watch Toy Story 3 today...

...BY MYSELF.[/glados] Yeah, none of my family (cept my sister, who already saw it with a bunch of friends w/o inviting me  ) wanted to see it. So, I'm gonna catch an early/lunchtime showing in 3D. Our only IMAX is WAY WAY WAY downtown charleston, in the middle of the ghetto...we don't go there anymore...[/alyx]
Don't remember me as I was...I was an idiot.

I just finished watching Sugar for the fourth time, with the family. I had to suffer through the English dub because my youngest brother didn't want to bother having to read subtitles.

Why do they have to even turn my favorite show against me?! T_T

I don't understand why most people don't like reading subtitles.  Can someone here clarify why this is a problem?

He says it's because they go by too fast. Even if that were true, it's still better than the cringe-worthy dub... >_>

Well, I suppose I can understand that for someone younger, but I don't get it why even full-grown adults don't like it.

i used to not like having to watch shows in with subs (because im lazy and dont like to read) but then i realized after watching an entire season of yu-gi-oh in Japanese how much of shows are lost in dubbed versions and you can get animes in Japanese like 6 months before they air in america

Too used to the boring regular TV where you don't have to pay attention perhaps? I dunno.

I think Pika shed the most light on it.  As sad as it is.

Clannad, in my humble opinion, seems to have avoided this.

Ack, I forgot about him.  Ok, so except for Sunohara sounding like that one kid from King of the Hill, its all good.

That one kid:

Japanese "curse" words are few in comparison to english. Its mostly how one says something (such as calling someone "omae" or rolling ones R's) then what is said.
