Updates
« on: August 23, 2008, 07:08:51 AM »
This is the topic where I give you updates. :)

1: Even though I am on holiday I have started this topic.

2: I have come to a decision that all the bosses will be constractions (An action of construction.) This means they will be part of the level structure (Linedefs and such) The Flembrane will be easiest to do. :) (NOT an icon of sin based boss)

3: Boss 1 is Flembrane
Boss 2 is the Maximus twins
    Boss 3 is UNDECIDED
Boss 4 is Project Z (I have to tell you because it's obvious :P)
NO CYBERDEMON REPLACEMENT. EVER. PZ might be as hard but he will be all decorate.

4: Episode 1 is set on Ralston and in the abandoned mineral mine below.
Episode 2 WILL be indeed set on the IFC Mothership.
Episode 3 will be set on Kadil
Episode 4 will, as the name says and the Titlescreen shows, be set around and in a black hole.

5: This topic will contain images I've made as well as intresting tidbits.

Wasn't the planet called Ralston (after Ralston Foods, Inc.), not Ralson?

The bosses...isn't that an exact copy of Chex Quest? Couldn't you like, make, mabey 2 Flembranes and 5 Maximi or something?

I am sticking to the original-
6: In the original, the evil things- There was only one. I belive there are an orderly 'Hive' of flemoids- The Flembrane the 'Branes' (Exuse my pun) telepathically and the dozen Maximi playing the roles of Army Generals. It is just they are zorched over and over again. The many Maxumi are often sent out in pairs to command the flemoids. And of course, the Project Z, master of the Flembrane, a pawn in his army of knights. Although he is the master, when he was frozen the Flemoids had nothing to do and they wandered off mindlessly, looking for nutirients. But now they are in order...

That is my understanding, although it would be nice to hear your's. :)

8:

A yellow key door in E1M5, near a teleporter. The Flembrane has spread it's slime EVERYWHERE... Can you spot the silver of an armoured bicedipus? ^^

9: I am changing the status bar back to a slightly edited version of the original CQ STBAR in the next version- I like the vibrancy but it has too many colours.

I think I see it between the two closest flemoids on the right.

10: Now that CQ3 is released, I must tell you lot how I plan to use the new flemoids.
Ultricus: Already in.
Stridicus: Renevant replacement. Starts appearing in E2. I need some sprites for it's 'missles'.
Flem Mine: DECORATE. Explodes when you get near it, MIGHT appear in E2, definite E3.
The Flembomanation: Captured on the IFC Mothership, in zorchlock. (Encased in zorch) You do not fight it, as it is behind glass.
Lord Snotolus: The E3M6 boss. His behaviour- although DECORATEd- will be exactly the same as in CQ3. He will have the Spidermastermind's health.

It was actually revealed in the in-game text in Chex Quest 3 that the official name is, indeed, Super Cycloptis. Just thought I'd let you know. ;)

I know, but the vote was essentially overturned, since Chex Quest 3 uses the Super Cycloptis name exclusively. Now, using the Ultricus name would be like calling the Bipedicus with armor the "Flemoidus Bipedicus Ultricus". Oh, well. This is probably not the best place to discuss this, anyway. I was just offering you some help in that regard.

Gentlemen, I do belive Chukker was not notified of your choice. We don't call the BWA 'Super Bicedipus' either now, do we?
Also..

11: The Stridicus' long distance attack is to shoot multiple Ultriciballs. It has the renevant's attack up close.

Whats the double barreled shotgun name?

Super shotgun? or Double barrel?

Nuf said.
I know what you're thinking. No, I don't like peanut butter.

If I had to choose between the real world or the Chex Quest Fan forums; I'd choose the Chex Quest fan forums.
